hello everyone , i thought i'd put my very quick feelings down about our recent holiday in Goa. Before I do I think I should explain I'm Johns OH.
Now John is one of those people who nowadays never lets anything or anyone frustrate him ( he is afterall ex special forces -- and is mellowing out ).
We always go to the Dona Sylvia -- my choice -- at least 2 times a year.
Anyway after a pleasant flight from Gatwick , we were so pleased to get into Dabolim airport, lo and behold we went straight through without too many baggage boys/men asking for the normal £1. Taxi down to the hotel went well ,we were welcomed like royalty and had a very lovely room. Food was it's normal buffet style -- but we do eat out a lot. No problems with getting a sun bed by the pool ( without giving backhanders).
So off we go down to the beach --- all is going well , but yes you might of guessed it -- Hell was about to erupt, Why ------------------------ There was a particular beach seller who we never knew and he just would not take " no thank you " as an answer , john being john was very polite for about 3 hrs of constant bombardment by this person --- but enough was enough . ( I shall use different language here ) John went to the shack to get hisself a beer and for me a pot of tea, when he got back the beachseller was sat on the sunbed and refused to move until John either brought something from him or gave him some money -- after tipping the man off the bed ,he picked him up and gently said " listen mate I don't know which part of the word NO you don't understand , but if you don't go away and leave us well alone the I'm going to--- rip your head off **** in your neck and put your head back on , now do yourself a favour and take a walk. Well I don't think anyone would of caught this person after John let go of him --- he could run for India in the Olympics. The lads in the shack were falling about in laughter as were other people who were on the beach, BTW nothing was seen of this guy again during our holiday by us or others. And yes we did buy from some of the beachsellers -- but they are the one's we always use and they know us well. So apart from that little incident we had a lovely holiday and are already booked to go again next year. Sorry if it has bored you all but I thought I had to tell you that sometimes its neccassary to show other things besides pure politeness to some people. Goa I'm missing already esp the wonderful people and the beach dog who adopted us while we were over there. Carol ( John's Lady )
