Private transfer and we found ourselves at our second home Club Turquoise around 0710 hrs. Knackered ... however our spirits were lifted as our room was decorated with banners and balloons acknowledging our 28th wedding anniversary !!! (Banners and balloons courtesy of my sister in law and neice). More to come though as in the bedroom was a stunning bouquet of flowers and a bottle of champers courtesy of Club Turquoise. Did I mention knackered earlier ? well my cure for tiredness is a bottle of bubbly at 7.30 am and all the tiredness seems to go ...
Realise I'm rambling a bit here so will summarise more. Weather - Fantastic and around 27o every day except one when it was cloudy. Did have one thunderstorm at night but the good old roof of the Seagull Bar kept the rain from our heads. Food - twice in the apartments (excellent) Garden, Taj, Adam & Eves, and also tried Tiffany's down on the front and found it very good too.
Costs - Turquoise have lowered the price of their drinks and now is 4.50 ytl for a full pint (not a large beer, a pint). Still paying much the same for food as we did in July but the exchange rate was better at initially 2.30 then 2.40 ytl before we left.
Resort - quiet as expected as it is beginning to close up but still plenty of places open. Noticed the traffic was a helluva lot less that in July so decided to hire a scooter for two days !!! (wife just assumed mid life crisis). Two days, 50ytl, and scooted all over the resort, fabulous ... even went through to Icmeler on the 100 cc flying machine... always wanted to stop at the viewing area near the peak of the hill and wasn't disappointed, stunning views.
Staff at Turquoise - Entertainers Yilmas, Compi, Reece and Ozzie still there. Other staff still there Jumali, Senol, Erkan (now married !!) Tuna, etc, sorry if I have missed anyone.
Also met with Mys123 (Myra) and her husband Ian and the girls who kindly introduced themselves. Seemed they too had a great time and met up with old friends down at both Alize and Aida.
Back home to Glasgow Airport, good flight and thought what a great holiday. Waiting for our luggage, waiting, waiting and waiting ... one and a half hours later before they appear (not good enough...) Still, didn't spoil what was a terrific October break and roll on next July ... guess where we are going ???
