Can anyone recommend a tour company to do a two night tour in the kanchanaburi area? Someone mentioned Kuoni, but they only seem to do them as part of an overall package.
Ideally I would like to arrange a private tour taking in the places I would particularly like to visit; War museum, cemetary, bridge, Hellfire pass, Death Railway and the night market.
Some ready made tours seem to cover most, but not all of the places. The ones I've found on the internet don't have dates reaching as far as next Christmas, so I'm not sure if the dates will be released later, or if the tours are not available at that time.
I have been presuming everything will be open during that period, can anyone advise?
Can anyone make any suggestions as to what to do on Christmas day? We arrive in Bangkok on 22nd Dec and want to spend between 2 and 4 days there, before visiting Kanchanaburi. We will have 3 teenagers with us, so I would like Christmas day to be "special" for them in some way. My 17 yr old absolutely hates sightseeing and really would not want to do it on Christmas day, so I haven't a clue what to do. Any help would be very much appreciated.
Are you staying at a hotel in BKK? If so, I would try emailing them asking them about the tours. We found the Marriott was fantastic about helping beforehand.
We will stay in a hotel in Bangkok, but haven't decided where yet. We can't make a decision on it until we know how long we want to be there for.
I've seen a lovely guesthouse owned by someone on this forum, which I'd like to book for the beach part of our holiday ( I'll not say who owns it until I've got out booking confirmed), but until I know what we are doing for the first part of our holiday, I don't know the dates for the second!
At the moment I feel as if I'm going round in circles, and don't know what to do for the best. However,I'm so pleased that I've found this site as it seems a fantastic place to get advice.
