we have stayed at the dimas three times now,they are good value for money,simple but clean,though there is a short steep hill to get to some rooms.The pool area is elevated and as you are laid on a sun bed or sat at the bar having a well deserved beer you can look over the harbour and across the sea to albania or just have a chat with christos whose family own dimas and is a good host,where ever you stay in kassiopi you'll enjoy,its our favourite place from many a greek resort we have been to.....enjoy

We are thinking of going to Corfu next year on hols, we have seen some nice appartments called Dimas. WE have 2 children aged 9 & 6 who like to spend all day by the pool, and we like to try different restaurants and tavernas at night but we have only seen three restaurants mentioned. can anyone tell us more about the place please.

there are a lot of great taverna/restaraunts all serving good food,theres a mexican,a couple of chinese and italians and many good greek ones including kasioppi star,three brothers,petrino,yannis,balero,sofretti (sp) to name but a few that we found good and you can get good poolside snacks round dimas's swimming pool

your welcome,there are also some great boat trips going from the harbour,but dont book em with your tour reps book it in town with cosmic ,it is run by an english couple in a shop with loads of boards outside on a blue carpet area you'll save a few euros doing it this way and they are very helpfull

after seeing all the positive coments on the dimas apartments i am really looking forward to next june, can any of you guys get some reviews going on tripadvisor the dimas apartments has absolutly no reviews on there i think it deserves some.

I've also posted some info for you in another thread.
Can remember seeing the Solaris appartments which were really central in the main square. It was a large complex and seemed to have quite a few facilities. However we didn't see inside the appartments so couldn't tell you how clean they were or how friendly the staff were, sorry.

I can't recall seeing the other two properties you mentioned. Have you considered the Dimas which has fantastic views over the harbour and which I highly recommend (unles either of you have walking difficulties).

I will try and explain where The Kassiopi Bay Hotel is located !
Kassiopi is situated on a couple of harbours (Imerolia and Kassiopi) with a headland jutting out between them, there is a main beach (Kalamionis) at Imerolia harbour, the other main one is located on the tip of the headland, and going around the headland there are some more smaller beaches.

The Kassiopi Bay Hotel is located on the headland near the beach, it is about a 10 ? minute stroll in one direction down in to the harbour area of Kassiopi, and about another 15 ? minutes walk in the other to Kalamonis beach.
You can walk in either direction and do a circuit ie down to the harbour then up to the main square then along towards the Janis restaurant (one of the nicest tavernas in Kassiopi) which is located at the end of Kalamonis beach and then back up along the headland to the Kassiopi Bay Hotel.

Both the Kalamionas Apartments and Marika Apartments are situated in Imerolia harbour and sit right on the beach between the village square and the Janis taverna and are therefore very centerally located for everything in Kassiopi.

Sorry I have never been in any of the hotel so can't say what they are like but they do look to be OK from the outside, all of them are in a quiet location.

I have marked the location of the harbour, the beach at kalamionas and approx location of the Kassiopi Bay Hotel on the picture below.

We have booked the Solaris for 1 week, after much deliberation

They seem to be in a good location, although they don't have the wonderful view that the Kassiopi & Kalamionos Hotels but we are very happy with the facilities in the Solaris.

Can't wait to sample the delights of Corfu I'll be posting asking for all your recommendations for restaurants & bars to visit, closer to the holiday.

I am sure you will enjoy the Solaris, it is on our short list along with the Dimas for our next visit.

The solaris is only a few minutes from the square but is still in a very nice and quiet setting and with what I could see from being nosey one day good facilities
