I agree with the previous message. We have stayed at the Tara Beach Hotel twice and enjoyed it very much. Right on the beach. Would advise hiring a car to see the whole island.

I would definately say Skala too! Gorgeous beach, laid back, a couple of bars with music but not loud. Skala is all about lazy days on the beach and a good meal and a nice relaxing drink in the evening. But car hire is a must for a few days to explore this gorgeous island

We are going to kefalonia for the first time on the 14 May staying at the Thekla Studios in Lassi, if any of you have any information on these studio's and any good restaurants, things to do or places to go we would be very grateful.

Can anyone suggest a quiet resort to stay on this island

Agia Efimia is very quiet. We really enjoyed it. There are plenty of good quality tavernas to chill out in on an evening. Lots of nice little coves to go snorkling but the beach is made up of small pebbles so if you want sand you'll need to look elsewhere.

Going back to Kefalonia in May for about the 21st time, we always stay in Lixouri as it is our preference but sure you will enjoy this Island wherever you are it's a lovely place to be enjoyed maybe a little more expensive than some other Greek Islands but well worth it for the beautiful scenery, friendly people, and just shear bliss.
