2 days to go !!

We would like to thank all contributors to our post back in early September and assure everyone that we will compile and post a comprehensive report on our return.

We've noticed that obtaining accurate weather for Khao Lak has been a little difficult. Most weather sites concentrate on Phuket weather however we have found that for a more accurate forcast for Khao Lak go to Thomsons web site and follow the holiday - weather link (sorry , I dont have enough posts to give you the link !). We have been informed that the wet season arrived approx 4 weeks early this year so we are hoping it will finnish 4 weeks early ! the long range forcast is deffinately showing fewer chances of daytime showers and higher scattered / minimal clouds.

Singapore Airlines now offer a "48hr Internet Check-in" for check in and seat allocation. We will be trying this on Tuesday (Manchester) and will let you all know if it's a success.

We are taking some US $ in travellers cheques. Could anyone advise if this would be a good method of paying for hotel bar bills etc or should we lookfor a good exchange rate in Khao Lak and convert to Bahts ?
