also went through all this palava last august nobody at the post office seemed to know where we stood with children travelling on my passport eventually spoke to spanish embassy in London who advised me that the children could travel on my passport until it runs out in 3 years time, when i re-new it they will need there own. sent the passport away to have my eldest daughter taken off because she is now 16 but the other children were left on. hope this makes sense and helps. We travelled last august with no problems
