Just wondering what the family rooms are like. From reading this thread it seems that there are different types of rooms, we would really like a room with partition or separate area for the kids, what would we need to request.
Thanks to anyone who can help.
We had a family room in the blocks behind reception, think they were 8000 block. The rooms were lovely. These were on entry a hallway with a large bathroom off, leading to a room with two single beds and dressing table. Then through another door was another room with double bed, this room lead onto the balcony. Perfect as you could close off the room and go out onto the balcony once the children were asleep without disturbing them. We met friends who were in family rooms down by the main pool and childrens pool but they told us the beds were more like camp beds and not full size. Anyone else help here?
Can anybody tell me what the daytime/night time entertainment is like?
Also are the Miraluna rooms near to the kids pirate pool?
I'm contemplating a family room with a private pool and this will cost £600 more than the standard room is it worth it for the extras?
Any info would be great, there doesn't seem to be that many good reviews on the review section but most of the comments in the discussion forums look favourable.
S~
I'm glad we didn't pay extra for the select rooms with private pools. Obviously they looked abit more up market from the outside but they were so quiet and not alot went on there. We enjoyed the main pools for the kids and the entertainment during the day.
Overall a fab holiday, would go back again!!
No, The Miraluna is at the opposite end of the complex to the childrens pirate pool. The main pool and kids pirate pool are in the Kiotari end nearest to the beach and the Rooms with private pools are at the top end of the complex at the Miraluna.
Daytime entertainment was great, loads of sports and games for kids and adults going on all through the day, the team worked really hard.
Evening entertainment was good although I think the kids disco only started at nine then they had bingo and the evening entertainment was for an hour after that so for young families I thought this was getting a bit late. My children are ten and eight and were falling asleep before the bingo had finished. Its such a tiring day for them out there in that heat and joining in all the activities all day as mine did.
The hotel entertainment team are fantastic, and they cater for all nationalities they work so hard and put on shows every evening in the ampitheatre at ten o clock.
All in all a great holiday and would definately go back, but would allways stay at Kiotari.
i have this hotle on my long short list for next summers hol
we are a family of 3 adults and 2 young girls
i was just wondering if anyone had any imformation about the large family rooms, (suitable for 5) do they have a separate bedroom? or are all you all in one room? My dad is coming with us, and even though we dont intend to spend alot of time in it, a separate bedroom would be nice, i dont think i could cope with both my hubby and my dads snorring for 2 weeks, lol
Thanks

just recived a letter on saturday regarding building works next door to this hotel where me going on 5th of may but first choice assure me its at the stage of fixtures fittings and landscaping anyone know owt about this?
went to travel agents today they spoke with first choice there is heave machinary there and its 50 mtres next to resort so they offered us a free ammendment but colud not have money back after a bit of polite confrontation i got my money back
There was building going on when we went last year i think its a new hotel?? but it didnt bother us at all, i can see your point though its a shame cause the hotel is absolutly fabulous.. id give anything to go again
will try rhodes again next year just such a headache when they drop things like this on ya 4 weeks before you go your right did look a nice place!!
well for an extra 150 thats brilliant and it luxurious over there.. youve done well maybe its fate you didnt go i believe in that.? but keep it in mind for next year it really is lovely maybe we may be able to go next year
There was building work last year when we were there a new complex I believe but it was erected then so must be putting finishing touches to it by now surely! Loved this hotel would have loved to go back but First Choice have taken the Wavelength kids club (age 9-14) off and both my kids love it so will be going elsewhere.
This is one that we are strongly thinking fo going to this summer. Seems to suggest that is a 'family suite' with split level rooms.
Anyone who has been had such a room?
Have checked out the websites and seems we will be in the Miraluna part as there are 5 of us. Split level seems to suggest at least 2 rooms (1 upstairs) which is ideal for us and appears to be by a pool too...
I see from the FC brochure that Wavelength is on this summer which was the thing that swung it for us - oldest child being 11 and needing more than 'mini club' type of thing.
From report etc will discuss whether best to upgrade to select or if we will be okay as we are.
As for lots of german etc we went to Titanic Resort in 2006 when Kos ABC had its non-opening and there were only 24 brits there from over 1000 guests and we loved it. We make the holiday what we want and will do the same here.
Would be great to read any recent reports from there.
We plan to take the Stansted flight on 23 July so anyone else likely to be there at same time/before would love to hear from you!
Am I really the only one going here this year???????
The access road from the main road to both receptions cuts straight through the Miraluna Village and there is a constant stream of coaches every day. Many rooms look out onto this road so you have people sunbathing by the pool with regular traffic flowing by. The 'private pools' in the Miraluna are not all private. I think I counted 6 private pools, the rest are semi-private; i.e. you share with another villa. Not a huge problem but why advertise it as private when it's not? Interestingly the Kiotari part of the resort had quite a few rooms with private pools too; I thought that was just for the miraluna. These rooms did look out onto the backs of other rooms though so no view.
There are a number of rooms in the Kiotari section that look out onto the back of the resort and have patios almost below ground level in a ditch. Would be very miffed to get one of those. The resort was not very busy lasy week which was nice. Food is average and pretty similar each day. Husband got food poisoning on third night. Mini fridge re-stocked a couple of times and pools cleaned each day.
Overall a pretty nice resort with ample pools and sunbeds. Possibility of getting a really crappy room in the Kiotari part though. Whole place looks a bit tired and yes, everyone else is German! Only Englidh TV channel is BBC News. Used First Choice kids club for the first time and was very impressed. If you're heading out soon then don't believe the BBC weather forecasts; it's been around 40 degrees for a couple of weeks now. Far too hot but better than Blighty.
