Firstchoice are still allowing bookings to be made for the 24th may departures

Hi Michelle from Essex, we are due to go on 14.6.06, do you think it s possible or are FC having a laugh and it will not be ready till much latter?
I am due to pay balance on 19.4.06 so I suppose we should still pay and then wait and see what happens?

Hi All,....I have always been going on the 24th May......I phoned earlier and they have told me that it will be opening on the 24th. If they do cancel I am going to ask for a hotel in Margareta....

Well the lady I spoke to today advised me to sit tight, which we have decided to do, there is us (5) plus another family of 3 going, we have waited so long for this holiday like many others on here, I refuse to give first choice anymore of my hard earned cash towards a different holiday at this stage, I mean the holidays increase with price depending on what brochure issue you book with and as I booked on the first issue id only expect to pay 1st issue prices not 4th issue prices like they are giving out now. If they cancel ours then they will have to relocate us to a different holiday at the same price we have paid, or reinburse us the full cost, we have all only got these 2 weeks off of work, my hub has his own business and we work around this.

Those of you who are being offered the Pegasus Palace in Turkey, please be aware that only half of the holiday village is going to be open in May, this is the case until July 2006!!!!

Good old first choice are at it again!!! I've been booked with them since May 2005 for this year, due to fly to Pegasus on 15th may, but if you read the Turkey forum you'll see the whole carry on about it.

Michelle, your post about the state of the Pegasus palace when it first opened is wildy exagerated. I'm not saying by you but by the person who told you.

The pool that wasn't dug out yet, if there was one, was in the Pegasus Tropical which wasn't due to open yet, when the first guests arrived for the palace in June. Granted it did have its problems when it first opened, but was sorted out and got good reviews later in the season.

There is an 87 page topic on the Turkey forum about the PP, many of it about the same crap that you lot have received from First Choice. I really do think they have bitten off more than can chew with all these holiday villages.

sorry about that i'm getting all confused someone had said they were booked to go on the 20th but was cancelled and could be re booked on the 24th it's just we tried to book some friends on our holiday and I was told they were fully booked for that date.

Not sure if I confused things- I was 20th and asked if could be booked for 24th but they said not sure if would be ready (I think they were trying to get me to book elsewhere...) - so I'm now going to Turkey.

Hi scottish, well my friend may have exagerated who knows, but she was offered £500 compensation which she refused which I no you dont get easily out of holiday companies. Gonna have a read up on PP and how some of it isnt opened till july, that would explain why FC are trying to put some of us there instead of Kos, one of the ladies on MSN at the mo has just had her holiday changed fron PP to Kos in sept because of poor sales (fc words again)

OMG - I haven't been online since this morning and can't believe what I have logged onto!

This is unbelievable - I'm due to leave on the 31st May but not holding much hope of that to be honest.

I really can't afford to shell out anymore on this holiday to be honest - it has took a year of blood sweat and tears to be able to afford this one! We booked on the first edition too and I am not willing to pay bloody fourth edition prices to change this holiday!

I don't want to shell out but I will not be impressed if we get to go on the 31st and the facilites are not what we expect!

I just can't understand how it can go from being weeks ahead of schedule to now 4wks behind!?!?!?!

Going to call FC in the morning I think - I was meant to go and book Airport parking today but never managed to get into town til late so didn't get there so glad I saw this first I'm not giving them a penny extra until this is sorted!

So soory for those that I was going to tell how it was but the 24th-ers are going to be the first there. At least you'll get a brand spanking new hotel!

All those who have been let down, I feel so sorry for you, in fact I feel as though my holiday has been cancelled. How can this be allowed to happen? First Choice need serious repremanding. Not only did they F*#k up Corfu ABC, they then let people down with Kefalonia ABC and now Kos ABC. Someone in this company needs to take responsibity here and get a job at the Wembley Stadium.

I was really looking forward to hearing baout your holidys in May, FC do not even have any heart to be letting people down at this stage. It is not easy getting time off work for the particular dates booked and I am sure we all over spent to get the holiday we wanted at Kos ABC. Stick with your guns all who have been let down and make sure you get a better holiday for the same price!

I will be watching Watchdog every week now in case those who have emailed get a responce!

We fly from Bristol for two weeks, the same as you. Looking forward to it as long as it does actually open by then!

Really feel for you lot, first time on this thread having been a regular on the PP Turkey forum after going there last year. I bet FC are part owned by multiplex who are still trying to build wembley lol.!!!

Yeah, seems that way! (I am a jinx - meant to be seeing Robbie at Wembley in September: my holiday at Kos Aqua Beach cancelled and now Robbie will have to play elsewhere! Oh yeah and I'm going to Turkey where there is bird flu...)

As there has been lots of activity on this one and for info, now going to 4 star+/5 star hotel (from day before) and FC have funded the difference (About £400). They also offered me same hotel, a week later. The cost was just over £900 more and they said that they could fund £630 of the difference: so there is about £600 on the table for better holiday!

Be really nice to the girls and they will bend over to help. I've now got a sea view and terrace which did not have at Kos! But get in quick if you have been cancelled as there are 3 hotels not opening on time and lots of people to be moved...
