You see that we have been organised for some time as Jem says. We were removed from another site as we were getting very near the truth with regards to FC and the KABC and the site owner got cold feet.

You will see from our photos that it has been obvious for some time that the KABC would never be ready on time.

As short as a week ago we were being told that the construction was 4 weeks ahead of schedule, and suddenly it is behind.

Yes, there was bad weather etc, but that was in February. If we remotely can obtain photographs, surely FC as the main purchaser of Hotel rooms could have obtained the same information.

Members complained to FC numerous times, and some wrote and sent photos and gave them the link to our Forum. Still they ignored us.

I echo what Jem says - please contact Watchdog and complain. It may not help some of you, but at least it may shame FC and get some truth out of them as to the final date for completion of both complexes.

ive 2 phone nos im on hold on both of them from my landline and mobile, the message is that they are experiencing high volume in calls, i wonder why?

Got through, I have just been told by FC that apparantly there have been power cuts that have knock building work back by 4 WEEKS, the opening date will be 24th MAY, I asked why then are they knocked back by 4 weeks when in fact just a few weeks ago we were told that they were way ahead of schedule, hence that if ahead a powercut wont make them 4 weeks behind if you see what I mean, she could not reply to this, and said that at the moment all she could say is that it WILL OPEN 24th MAY and that I would be notified of any change to my holiday. I am due to pay my holiday 19th April im not sure what to do right now. So sorry to those who were booked for May, when will FC realise that they CANNOT keep doing this, why take bookings for hotels that they have not built.

Hi - If you are one of the unfortunate ones whose holiday is cancelled, don't give up with what FC offer you.

The Dutch holiday makers would have booked throug GOBest ( a subsidery company of First Choice).
They were letting the Dutch travellers know a couple of weeks back that there were going to be delays , yet at the time First Choice were still denying this.

sorry for sounding really thick and dumb but how close are Kos and Kefalonia? isnt it a bit of a coinicdence that both islands have suffered serious power cuts putting both complex back 4 weeks? like I said sorry to sound dumb.

you are talking a few hundred miles as the crow flies I should imagine.
Kef is situated up the west coast of greece and Kos is south and East over by Turkey.

I really thought that this was a wind up but now feel sick after speaking to FC. They have said 24th May is PLANNED date but they cannot even guarantee this.
We booked this holiday last year and the choice left now is no good to us. This was our first holiday for 2 years and I am trully trully gutted. What good is a refund when I was looking forward to an excellent holiday - and meeting some of you guys too.
I've been told to go and look at the brochures and see what we might want and they will check if available. Yeah right!

Just spoke to them again and asked about changing holiday, was told unless my holiday is cancelled by FC I will incur admin costs of £2O per person, also we booked this on the 1st addition back in april last year, price of £1802 now quoted for turkey for £2404 plus admin charge, I said im not prepared to pay extra, there is only 1 room available on 17th june and we need 2 as its a group booking with friends, she said our best bet is to sit tight if we are cancelled then we will be refunded in full or offered a substitute, yeah right this is gonna turn out to be a complete nightmare and with no holiday at the end of it. I feel so sad now and sick to the stomach.

I would sit tight....I am going to Kef on the 25th June and am in similar position to you.
The rep is quite correct in what she says.
If it does get cancelled and we should know a good few weeks beforehand then rules 12, 13, 14 of Package Trevel regs, The ABTA code of conduct and Office of fair Trading regs come into play.

However if you decide to change beforehand you do not have many rights...so hold on.
