we had a week on this camp in a Keycamp Villanove in August this year.
I had had some pretty poor reviews of this site before we went, but was pleasantly surprised when we got there.....
The best feature of the camp has to be the pool complex - we never used either the bar or restaurant, so I couldn't comment on those. To be honest, the pool was the only bit of the site we DID use!!!!
The pitches are not very large or secluded, so privacy is a non-event, but the site is very well kept and clean.
We chose the site to use as a base for visiting the D-Day beaches, and it has to be said, that it is PERFECTLY placed for this. All the major sites are within 20-30 minutes drive, as is Bayaux. No way should you go to this area without doing the Normandy Landing beaches and cemateries. They are truely moving, and all of our 3 kids found them fascinating (kids ages are 15, 10 & 6)
The village of St Aubin is also quite nice, with lots of good places to eat... but the beach itself is very chalky - the stuff covers everything white!!
There are plenty of other sea-side places a very short drive away - so plenty of other places to paddle in the sea!!
As for Keycamp - this is the 2nd year we have used them (plus we have 2 holidays already booked with them for 2008).
No grumbles there at all. Our accommodation has always been clean, and the reps always been very halpful...
Is there anything else I can tell you?????
We go regularly to Normandy (different site)with Keycamps and have never had a problem.
A couple of years ago we requested a quote from Thomson Alfresco, it bore no relation to the holiday we wanted, when we queried this they said that the person filling in the form had made errors. I had filled out the form personally for the rep so that was the end of Thomson Alfresco for me, and it would have been more expensive for less.
Already booked 3 weeks for next year with Keycamps.
Patka

Strange, but both countries specialise in the production of wine and we specialise in tasting it.
