Hi I have seen this hotel too. Its cheaper on eclipse direct which is first choices 'cheaper website'. I managed to use a translation site and the reviews did seem good. We are thinking of the last two weeks in May.
The reviews said things like the bathrooms had dove soap etc and were very clean. They also said the animation team were great. There did'nt seem to be anything negative. I have been the Topkapi and the Kremlin and the price for here was very good. £1268 for 2 adults and a child.

We have booked up to go to Larespark for 2 weeks last week of July first week of August. We are two adults and 2 kids, the First Choice brochure gave limited details, but the Larespark website makes the place look fantastic (but then i suppose it would!!). Anyway cant wait just hope it turns out as good as it looks. Any feedback or reviews would be appreciated. :hyper

Hi Pandypotter

Great review on Larespark hotel. Seems like you had a good time. We are going last week in July for two weeks my children are 11 and 9. Just a few questions

Whats the beech like?
You mention about taking your own blow up rings for the slides, can you only go on the slides with a ring? If so what size?
What were the rooms like - is the mini bar re stocked daily?
Did you use the kids club?
What was the evening entertainment like?
Are there any trips near by worth doing?
Any other hints or tips would be most grateful

Thanks (would you go again?)

Hiya. In answer to your questions here goes.
Beach- The beach is not bad for that stretch of coast as it can be a bit gritty it gets very hot though on the sand. They have sunbeds under overhead covers. There is also a pier with sunbeds on. There is a little beach bar that does drinks, snacks and ice creams.

Rings for pool- They have slides that you can use without rings but the most popular is the orange one which you get on a ring for. Although they have them it just means if you have your own you don't have to wait for them. We got them from Asda although I would get one with handles on the top. They don't cost much so its worth it.

Room/minibar- The mini bar was stocked daily with water, fizzy water, fanta, coke and bottled beer. The rooms are quite nice, never enough hangers or drawers though. The carpet has a few patches where people spilled lotions but all in all they are quite nice. Hopefully you are only in them for a few hours a day. You have a safe (free) too. The bathrooms were a nice size and plenty of towels. Ours was a larger tower one. We took Amy's portable DVD player and she plugged that in the TV, you can keep it in the safe in the day although security at the hotel is good with my sunglasses turning up at reception when I left them at the indoor pool.

Kids club- You will laugh when you hear Seline at the club talk. Its mainly for little ones but they adore kids. Its hotel run but seemed very popular. Your sons will feel safe enough to go the cinema on there own and generally do their own thing. They have playstaions but it did say you have to pay to use them, also a bowling alley.

Evening entertainment- We got our routine sorted. After dinner we went to the roof tower bar to play cards, then it was the show, then onto the pool bar for dancing and sometimes live music, then the sofa bar to chill, then inside for a last one before bed. We were never bored in the evening. The shows could be very good like the Mongolian Acrobats, Magic act, Modern hip hop dance and others were OK. As we have been Turkey a couple of times they do get repeated a little. Turkish night has a little market, dancers and the ice cream cake.

As we don't do trips I could'nt tell you but on the board it does tell you of some. The rep will be able to help you there.

I think you will have a lovely time and kids seem to like the independence as Amy and a friend were quite safe going for lunch on their own at the burger/pizza area. If you need to know anything else just ask as its hard to think of everything. As to would we go back, we don't ever go the same place twice but I could make an exception for here. A good hotel and I can see it getting more popular.

HI Pandypotter

Thanks for all the information - its certainly useful to have some insider knowledge.

Im surprised no one else has joined in though with the questions, which leads me to think will we be the only English people???

I believe there are some restaurants that you have to book - did you go to these? where they any good? was it easy to book?

THanks

Si

You won't be the only English but there could be just you and another family! We did'nt find this a problem as a lot of the German/Russian/Dutch speak English too. The films at the cinema were in English as well.

The restaurant for the specialities was highly rated by a Dutch couple we spoke to. They do Chinese, Mexican and one other one. They also have a Turkish one in the main building which you can even book for a fancy breakfast. We found the food that good in the normal restaurant we did'nt bother as Amy is a fussy/typical child. We walked past in the evening and it smelled and looked lovely. In the day it does salad, chips, burgers, pizza etc.

You will love the rooftop Olivia bar. Get the lift by the shops to the eighth floor. Very nice and you can see for miles around. We sat on the sofas outside here to cool down after dinner.

Just ask if there is anything else you need to know, its something to look forward to.

Has anyone recently stayed at the Hotel Larespark nr Antalya?
So far only one family has reported any facts/information on the hotel. It is our understanding that this is the first year that either First Choice or any UK tour operator has sold holidays here; normally only German, Russian, Dutch or Turkish holiday makers holiday here, hence little is known about the Hotel.
From what we do know is that it is All inclusive, 5 Star and appears amazing with lots to do on site although quiet locally.
Some of the Q's we have are regarding;

local transfers to Antalya from Hotel to the Town, how far is it?
Were families able to get inter-connecting rooms easily?
What is the general atmosphere like between nationalities?
Are there on-site banking facilities?
What beach facilities are there?
What sort of entertainment is there?
Room facilities?
Internet Facilities?
How clean is the Hotel and grounds?
How friendly are the staff
What is the security like on site?
Is Antalya Airport easy to navigate when landing and how was it re Visa queues? Passport control? And Coach Transfer?

Could the family that has already posted a report contact us too?

We know that we are asking lots of questions but apart from one family's kindness in reporting about the hotel, we really do not have any other information and we are going to be a party of around 20 people (4 x families Adults and Kids)

Many thanks in advance to all that reply

We are so pleased to finally hear from people that have been to or are about to holiday at Larespark, Antalya.
Our party is going to be quite large (8 x Adults and 14 children aged 1 yrs to 16 yrs old) and we were a little concerned that no other English families had ever holidayed here before.
Can someone please respond with answers to some of our Q's?

We want interconnecting rooms, is this is to organise?
Are there any banking facilities at the Hotel? Can we change travellers cheques, get cash from credit/debit cards?
What is the entertainment like?
Has anyone visited Antalya town from Larespark? Apparently there is a courtesy bus which leaves just outside the hotel?
What was Antalya airport like? Re: Queues for Visa, Passport control?
How was the transfer from the Airport to Larespark.
Is their a disco/somewhere to dance at the Hotel in the evening?
Is there a problem with getting sunbeds etc?
How friendly are the staff?
Is the Hotel child/kid friendly?
What are the rooms, grounds and general Hotel facilities like? Are they all clean?
Is their Satellite TV's in rooms (English speaking channels?)

Finally, does anyone have any photos of their holiday (we have seen the official hotel pics) showing the facilities that they could post here

Thanks in advance for anyone answering our questions

I have posted a review in the Hotel Reviews section, that might answer a few of your questions.
Interconnecting rooms- I would email the hotel direct to see about that, sorry I don't know for sure.

Banking- there is something at reception but take euros as thats the currency of choice. You won't be spending much there though as it really is all inclusive. We used dollars at the little market (at the hotel for Turkish night) shop and for the photoman. To be honest they will take anything!

Entertainment-hit and miss but we were never bored in the evening. The shows were OK to very good.

Antalya-we have never been as we don't really bother with trips, but it is close and there is a taxi company just outside the hotel.

Airport- Antalya is a modern airport and apart from this time we have never had delays. Everything is pretty quick and easy. Don't forget even the littles ones have to pay the £10. Transfer time is about 15 minutes to your hotel. You can see and hear planes going over the hotel but they never bothered me.

Disco/dancing- the kids have the mini disco on the stage before the show. There is a disco but its in the basement and is for adults only. I liked that after the show they had dancing at the main outside pool/bar area. The animation team like to boogy!

Sunbeds- by the second week we had to get them by 9.15, we get up late, but otherwise it was'nt a problem while we were there. They have matresses and you can get fresh beach towels everyday. I liked that you can go on the grass. I did notice it was very busy by the kids pool.

Friendly staff- I found the staff very friendly (apart from one person) The bar staff even got to know drink orders. They sometimes talk to you in German but all seem to know English.

Child friendly- Seline and the girls at kids club adore children and the kids seemed to love them. The older ones can go to the cinema and be safe to do their own thing. There are plenty of lifts etc so its pushchair friendly. Food wise they will struggle a little, but a top 'kid' tip is if they don't like sauce and 'goo' on chicken etc get it for them from the diet food section. Amy enjoyed baked potatoes and burgers in the day. The desserts go down well too. Its not overly geared to kids, but a nice balance between the two.

The hotel and grounds- these are well maintained and its a clean hotel, so don't worry on that score.

The TV is all foreign channels so Amy plugged her portable DVD player in to watch cartoons (take your leads!). You can use them on planes after takeoff.

I'll try to get some photos sorted to give you an idea, it might be in a couple of days when I get them back (we did'nt take our digi camera)

I hope this helps. Please feel free to ask about anything else you might like to know.

Just read the other post.

Beach facilities- there are sunbeds under a canopy area and also beds on a pier. They also have a few hammocks on the lawn. There are changing beach booths and showers too. The beach bar is small but serves drinks including kids slushies, ice cream, hotdogs, toasties etc. In the last few days we were there they were building hut type things which you can probably hire with waiter service etc (only guessing but we had these at another hotel).

Nationalities- No problems here either. The only hotel I've been where people did'nt rush for food. A good dinning experience, nice and relaxed. We met some lovely Dutch people and lots of people talk English. I never felt like a minority or outnumbered.

Security- We felt very safe here. Security is there, but low key. You don't get drunken yobby types and there was no swearing, which has been a problem on holiday before.

As more British go, I'm sure it will become more popular. Of course everone has different opinions. Having been a few Turkish AI hotels I can say I considered it one of the best we have been for the price we paid. I look forward to reading other peoples reviews and hope they enjoyed it as much as we did.

Does anyone know if this hotel is anywhere near the Titanic hotel? we have got friends going at the same time who are staying there.
Reply
Hiya. Its right next door. Like I say some very naughty people walk along the beach between the two. My daughter and her friend went and tried the slides out at the Titanic. The same company owns the two I think. There are no wrist bands at either, only the hotel beyond that. There is a guard/security hut on the beach but I think as long as people don't take liberties you can meet up.
Reply
Can I add that I was at Titanic, and regarding getting cash on debit/credit cards - there is an HSBC ATM at the shops which are close by. It dispenses Euros, Lira, and US Dollars so you can take your choice.

what leads do you need to plug in the dvd player is it just a normal scart or other. I only ask as I like to watch a film late on at night

I'm looking at booking up hear next year it looks great. We have just came back from club Asteria in Belek which was a Thompson Platnum and I must say it was out of this world. It was maily russian german and now more people from uk are starting to go too. This has bumped the price up by £500 for my family.

I also see there is a mexican snack pool bar what was the food like there

also are you limited to how many trips you can make to the alacart resterants.

Did you notice how much the bowling was and how hard it was to book

Thanks for any help you can offer
