Welcome back Denny- hope you had a great time!! Still almost 3 months until we go, but we're all really looking forward to it. Just one quick question, what is the hotel like on soft drinks? My eldest won't drink fizzy, so we rely on them having pure orange/apple juice that tastes like the stuff from home. I'm seriously considering trying to pack a bottle of squash to dilute, since I'm really worried about her not drinking in the heat.

Hi Pam, We arrived back early Sunday morning after the dreaded night flight (had a day flight going). Had a great time.
Regarding the soft drinks - in the minibar in the room as well as 2 bottles of Effes there is a large bottle of coke and large bottle of Fanta,(the real thing), 2 bottles of still water and 2 bottles of sparkling water,these are replenished everyday.
At breakfast there is orange juice - not fresh but tastes ok. There is also a cordial machine with apple,peach,pineapple,orange and cherry juice - again tastes fine.
At the beach bar and volcano bar by the kids pool, there are slush drinks in every available flavour.!! At the Budha bar in hotel (by the row of shops the soft drinks are real fresh fruit juice. soft drinks are also available in the main hotel bar and the moonflower bar, and there is also coke/fanta/sprite. The grandchildren liked all the soft drinks and for the 2 year old we watered the still drinks down with bottled water.
We had lovely large rooms with excellent sea views, the rooms were tired (although some were refurbished), but they were SPOTLESSLY clean and bedding/towels changed every day - even bathrobes and slippers provided!!
The hotel is non-smoking inside!!!
Its an excellent hotel set in lovely parkland, any other questions - don't hesitate to ask.

Thanks so much Denny!! Glad you had a great time, it sounds lovely. The girls love the idea of all the slushes! What is the sunbed situation like around the slide pool and is that anywhere near the kids volcano bar? How far is it to the nearest shops if we feel like a wander and what currency would you suggest we take?

Loads of sunbeds all over the place. Around large pool, slide pool, kids pool, all over the park - it's huge and on the beach - there are literally 100,s of them, though of course those around the prime spots will always go first, but we never had a problem getting one.
The slide pool is right opposite the volcano bar. Slides are on 10.30am til 1200 and then 1.30 til around 4ish. There is a lifeguard at the pool and by the slides. He is really good and makes sure everyone is safe and takes no messing from anyone who misbehaves near the slide pool. He's really friendly and really looks after the little ones. Kiddies under 6 (don't know how old your kiddies are) and non-swimmers must wear armbands when using the slides.
There are shopping bazaars all over the place, though once you have been to one they are all much the same. The hotel has coach to Antalya city centre daily at 10.30am returns at 3.30pm costs 5 euro return.
I would say the best currency would be euros or a mix of lira/euro. Exchange rate much better in resort than at home and there are ATM's all over the place.
Make sure you book the al a cartes too, they were excellent....

Fantastic!! Thanks Denny- just need to count down the weeks. My girls are 9 and almost 12 and swim like fish, so they will be in 7th heaven!!

Denny, another question!! What is the dress code for the evenings ie smart casual or does anything go? Can men get away with smart cut offs? We quite like dressing up a bit to go down for dinner, no-one bothered in Bulgaria last year so all our smarter stuff came home unworn. Off to a conference this weekend for work for 4 days and then I can really let my head get into holiday organising mode!!

Hi Pam, Smart casual- although men can wear 3/4 pants or smart shorts and T-shirts. Most people do bother to dress up, especially in speciality restaurants. It's a lovely hotel, so a shame not to dress up a bit.
Even at lunch (in the main restaurant) you are expected to cover up, whilst at the beach bar and snack bar anything goes.

Thanks for your help Denny, can't wait!! So glad we are going AI having spoken to someone who is just back from Greece, don't know how prices compare but 5 euros for a slush!! We'd be broke inside a week, AI for us is worth every penny.
