Don't worry about the IP's site saying the dates are not available. You will find if you call them that there is availability. However you may not get the cheap rates Pebbles has mentioned by calling them. Those rates usually come out 6-8 weeks before they are available.
I booked with them for May and got rates of $69 Sun-Thurs and $129 Fri & Sat. Does this fit in with your budget?
As Luci said the rates I quoted may not be available for October yet. This is the beauty of booking direct with the hotel, if you see a better rate than the one you have they will change your booking to the cheaper rate.
Hereis the rate offer I received from IP recently.
Once I have booked a hotel I tend to check their website regularly to see if the prices have gone down.
Another idea. Have you thought about splitting your stay between a couple of hotels? We stayed in five different hotels last visit, but we were there for three weeks.
Right I've joined several vegas forums now and they all say to wait until about 3 months before I want to travel for better rates.I've also signed up at all the hotels I like so that I get the dels sent to me in e-mail.
Not sure whether to wait for the flights to go down....for what I can gather Virgin usually drop their prices a bit not sure if I'm prepared to take a risk though. We are pretty flexible with dates having a window of about a month to choose from and I don't really mind which airport I fly from as all are about the same distance away from me...London may be marginally closer
I have merged your post with an existing topic, but there may be other topics available if you use the Search facility.
The Orleans comes highly recommended as an off strip hotel and is quite cheap. If you sign up to receive emails from them they will send you offers. They have a shuttle bus to take you to and from the strip.
I received an email from them today with a late offer on rooms for August from $35/night.
Can I ask why you are looking for a hotel off strip? Have you been to Vegas before?
For off strip hotels I can recommend Orleans and Gold Coast as excellent choices. They often have offers on that you will receive if you sign up online with them, and have a 72 hour free cancellation policy if you find a better deal. As Luci mentioned earlier, they both have a free shuttle to the strip which is a nice bonus.
Other reasonable off strip properties are Tuscany and Terrible's.
If you download Travelaxe you can search your dates for the best prices, the phone the hotels direct to see if they will price match.
In your opinion what's the cheapest place to stay on the strip
It doesn't have to be one of the well kown hotels something smaller would be fine.
I've booked Orleans for first 4 days and Flamingo for last 5 days
I want 5 days on strip in the middle of our holiday.....trouble is Halloween falls in the middle of those 5 days.
Im looking to book in 28th Oct and check out Nov 2nd
I need a room for 2 adults and 1 teen (16)
Hi Luci,thanks for the reply.
We don't have a specific reason for staying off strip but they do seem to be better value for money. We were in Vegas last year and stayed at the luxor which was okay but nothing special.Cheers Mark.

The Carriage house comes out at $958 for my dates
Excalibur is cheaper than that at $931.50
I may go with the Excalibur....more than I wanted to pay and not one of my original choices considering it's halloween and will be fill og kids.
I don't really want to stay up the north end....well not as far out as the Strat,Saharah or CC.
IP may be an option.....I'll have to see how the pennies hold out
