Thanks Luci.....I got that rate via e-mail as weel.I have already contacted them to ask for the lower rate.....I'm waiting for their reply.I have also asked them to quote me a prive for my first 4 days.....if it's favourable I may cancel my orleans stay and do 9 days at the Trop
By the way have you heard from Bob yet???
Nothing from Bob yet. If I don't hear by tomorrow, which will be a week, I may email him again, but I don't want to look like a pest.
If you don't hear....rather than e-mailing Bob why dont you PM Steve and ask him if he knows whether Bob is on vacation
(We will be staying near LA with my dad fr a few weeks and plan to take the wife to LV, which he watches the kids )
It will be our first time in LV, and we were looking at The Bellagio and the Paris hotels as we want to be central on the Strip.
I like to gamble, although not high rollers, we want somewhere with nice food and lots to do, are these hotels good for that? (probably a silly question)
Also, is three days enough for a first visit?
You can pack a lot into 3 days, but there will be loads you don't get to see/do/eat/drink/bet on....................
Where are the $1 tables? Least I've seen recently have been $5 and that goes to $10 in the evening.
If you can afford it, I would definitely stay at the Bellagio. We really enjoyed their buffet for breakfast and Sunday brunch although we haven't tried it for dinner.
Rio from $59 a night.
Harrah's from $49 a night.
Flamingo from $60 a night.
Bally's from $69 a night.
Paris from $89 a night.
If you're a Harrah's total rewards member, then you might get cheaper if you sign in.
you'll have to copy and paste it....if I post it as a link it wont work

The IP are really good at sending out offers. I get emails from them all the time along with the Venetian. Wish the others were as good.
I have booked a night at the Bellagio for $179. The promo code is D179EM. It is a Fall Offer good Sun - Thurs till 8 November.
luci
Did you book the IP as well Luci
Yes booked the IP for the first 3 days and Planet Hollywood for last 3.
John Toohey wrote:I have now cancelled the Orleans as I read about the safes being plonked on a wooden shelf in the bathroom
John, you were correct about the safes.
Here'sa link you might be interested in.
*Edit. Sorry Pebbles! HT no longer allow links to You Tube due to the high number of legal arguments/actions between YT and various organisations. Can you post to let John know what to search for to find the link on YT please? Thanks. Pippy *
Its ok I dont need the link but thanks anyway Pebbles.
John did you see it over at LVT? Brian's board is a good place, have you checked it out?
Thanks for the kind words regarding my TR. Everything is coming out of the woodwork over there due to the software changes.
This link will take anyone else interested in the Orleans safes to the correct place.
I hope this link is OK for you Pippy, sorry if it's not either. I don't want to make work for you.
Trip report?? Trip report??? How's about posting it on here too to keep me going till November?
Luci, I think I did post it on here. I'll dig it up and post it again if you like.
I hope this link is OK for you Pippy, sorry if it's not either. I don't want to make work for you.
I think it's ok Pebbles as the link is on another forum. Don't worry about whether or not you're creating work, it's part of what we do when we take on the job of being a mod! It's only those who deliberately ignore the T&Cs who get up my nose
I just watched that you tube vid by Brian.....I'd missed it over on his forum....
Glad I cancelled my first 4 days at the Orleans in favour of rooms at the IP
