Don't worry about the IP's site saying the dates are not available. You will find if you call them that there is availability. However you may not get the cheap rates Pebbles has mentioned by calling them. Those rates usually come out 6-8 weeks before they are available.
I booked with them for May and got rates of $69 Sun-Thurs and $129 Fri & Sat. Does this fit in with your budget?

Hereis the rate offer I received from IP recently.
Once I have booked a hotel I tend to check their website regularly to see if the prices have gone down.
Another idea. Have you thought about splitting your stay between a couple of hotels? We stayed in five different hotels last visit, but we were there for three weeks.
Not sure whether to wait for the flights to go down....for what I can gather Virgin usually drop their prices a bit not sure if I'm prepared to take a risk though. We are pretty flexible with dates having a window of about a month to choose from and I don't really mind which airport I fly from as all are about the same distance away from me...London may be marginally closer
Hi,we are going to LV next May and are thinking about staying off the main strip.Has anyone got any recommendations for off strip hotels? Thanks Mark.
The Orleans comes highly recommended as an off strip hotel and is quite cheap. If you sign up to receive emails from them they will send you offers. They have a shuttle bus to take you to and from the strip.
I received an email from them today with a late offer on rooms for August from $35/night.
Can I ask why you are looking for a hotel off strip? Have you been to Vegas before?
luci
For off strip hotels I can recommend Orleans and Gold Coast as excellent choices. They often have offers on that you will receive if you sign up online with them, and have a 72 hour free cancellation policy if you find a better deal. As Luci mentioned earlier, they both have a free shuttle to the strip which is a nice bonus.
It doesn't have to be one of the well kown hotels something smaller would be fine.
I've booked Orleans for first 4 days and Flamingo for last 5 days
I want 5 days on strip in the middle of our holiday.....trouble is Halloween falls in the middle of those 5 days.
Im looking to book in 28th Oct and check out Nov 2nd
I need a room for 2 adults and 1 teen (16)
Anyone got any suggestions

I just had a look and got a total of $764 for a standard room and $859 for a deluxe.
Prices 28th $113, 29th $113, 30th $179, 31st $189, 1st $170 for the standard room.
Using Travelaxe I can find Stratosphere at $652 and Sahara at $689.
You would be in a much better location at the IP. The other two are a bit away from centre strip.
Hope this helps a little.
Have you tried the Imperial Palace? I just had a look and got a total of $764 for a standard room and $859 for a deluxe.

We don't have a specific reason for staying off strip but they do seem to be better value for money. We were in Vegas last year and stayed at the luxor which was okay but nothing special.Cheers Mark.

Tangobunny, I've nothing to add to what I advised you previously. It looks like the IP has gone up considerably from when you first asked.
luci
The Carriage house comes out at $958 for my dates
Excalibur is cheaper than that at $931.50
I may go with the Excalibur....more than I wanted to pay and not one of my original choices considering it's halloween and will be fill og kids.
I don't really want to stay up the north end....well not as far out as the Strat,Saharah or CC.
IP may be an option.....I'll have to see how the pennies hold out
You would have more room for your money at the Carriage House
and no kids running around, you could also get your own breakfast
ect.
ANN
What site do you use to book Carriage House......or do you book it direct
just search the Carriage House,we stay there with our timeshare
company RCI so we only use an exchange, you can also book direct.
Will pm you if i see any bargains.
ANN
Here a few booking the Carriage House.
Thanks to all that helped me
This offer from the Planet Hollywood maybe of some use to someone.
Offer valid only for A-List Club Member listed on this account.
I have heard that they are tightening up on that. Be careful if you don't have a player's card.
Now I did register for a card last year so maybe they checked against that.
So the moral is every casino you go in even if there is a wait at the desk make sure you sign up to their players club
