I don' know about other peoples experience of lastminute.com but I will never deal with the company again.Iwas in Melbourne for the commonwealth games and to attend my son's wedding. As they were going on honeymoon two days before I was due to leave I had booked accomodation for my last two nights stay through lastminute then found out that my son had already booked me into another hotel as a surprise.I then contacted lastminute to cancel my booking and was told there might be an admin fee to pay but I would get the balance refunded. This was on 2nd April. After many emails ,and no refund, they told me the hotel was claiming that I had stayed and therefore could not have a refund.I then contacted the hotel direct and explained the situation. The hotel then contacted lastminute to say that I didn't stay and that there was no charge so I was due a full refund.I still do not have my refund as lastminute are still trying to wriggle out of it despite the fact that they have not been charged by the hotel.Fortunately a lady at the hotel is doing all she can to help but if all fails I will have to take legal action to get my money back.
I am disguted to say the least that a so called reputable firm like lastminute choses to treat a customer like this and will therefore never use them again or ever recommend them to anyone.
Has anyone else encountered this problem with them or is mine just an isolated case
