Thanks all (Sue Graham WJ) for taking the time to respond.
I will take the advice and hold on a little longer.

I am learning patience in my old age. :hyper honest.

I would think that there will be some offers perhaps around September/October time. I would sign up for emails from some of the big TA and then you would have a better idea of what was around.
In the meantime I will keep an eye on things although I will be away for 13 nights at the end of this month. Graham usually and one or two others will keep the board updated.
I know that I booked for the QM2 after I came back from my Century cruise last year this would have been about the beginning of November. Graham had sent me a PM and posted on this board so I went ahead and booked it then. This was however for the beginning of March well actually left 29Th Feb. (leap year) I feel sure you will find something but the fact that it is covering the Christmas period not sure about price.
Continue to monitor the Teletext especially 262 and 228 I can't bear the 227 as it contains all the package holiday cruises and I am not interested in taking them.

Good luck!!

I would appreciate if any of you bargain hunters could post links to the TA sites you have signed up with HERE

This is a sticky topic at the top of the forums.

Thanks for the reminder I had been watchicng for this one but it was £250pp for the mini when it came up

Came home after a night out and they had some cabins left so are trying for an inside at £59pp the mini was 89pp but for two nights we will slum it and eat in Cagnies.

Down side is the booking can still get cancelled since no way to make payment tll tomorow
had this happen before.

The garden villa is also available at £504pp 2pax or £1340 as a 6 share(£225pp)

THis includes tips so the inside old pricing is back and even better for the Minis.

If we don't get cancelled Amsterdam here we come and this should put us on Gold latitudes.

really wish we could use it..but we have a poorly cat and Kevs got the last pool meeting Sunday (this I would make him miss ...lol if it wasnt for my poorly cat)
I'm gutted hope you have a great time
Last them when you gave me the heads up on this one it was early morning when I managed to book online then rang them and they took payment but it would be better for these deals if they had online payment so it couldnt be cancelled

Hope it happens but not a big loss if we miss out.

Last time I got my payment done in time, but this time there is some other big organisation involved on a international number and they may be able to cancel cabins on hold so who knows early start needed.

Nina was going to be working Sun but got cancelled this morning so we can do this one.

Sorry to hear the cats not doing so well.

Booked,

Still a GV for £504pp if anyone want to live it up, and a Mini on GTY.

You're gonna be hungry then, because Cagney's will not be available to you for breakfast, lunch or any snacks you would wish to have between meals!

We all started somewhere and I guess paid a bit too much for some of our cruises, it take practice even when not looking for a cruise for yourself, to get the "feel" for a deal and to know when to pay up and not miss a trip completely.

TXT is a good starting point, follow any links you see in the adds to check out the web sites and see if they have email alerts.

If you see a deal on here try and follow it, even if not interested so you can do it quickly when you are interested.

Practice on-line bookings with each cruise line(stop before payment is due) so if you see a deal you like you can grab it quick.

I sometimes still call, if I see a deal with an agent that I might be interested but cannot make up my mind, to get a feel for the agent, can they answer questions like flight times are they pushy etc. Always ask for the name of the person if they are helpfull so you can ask for them when you do decide to book.

Emails from as many sources as possible is the way to catch most of the offers, but you have to read them.

If you get what you think is a good deal post it, ok someone may find it cheaper but thats more info for your own research next time.

I enjoy and appreciate your deals. I am hoping to take one up one day.

I look at teletext every day normally but only at the cruise pages and only on 262 228. I also have a lot of emails from several TA's but more important have a trusted TA who will always do me a good deal. If she can't she will give me advice re that particular agent.
I am only interested in cruising with particular companies so that means I have less leeway but for me the price is not everything. I could find cheaper cruises if I was prepared to settle for a different experience. Nowadays I can find anything I want at a price that I am prepared to pay.
I also an choosy about which hotels I want to stay at. Not everyone is in this position I appreciate but for me to have just what suits me as I get older means a lot.
I am also VERY happy to pay the single supplement as I don't have to wait on anyone or share a bathroom. I can do exactly what I want to do when I want to do it.
I am cruising with a friend on the 26th August on Summit but each of us in our own room.Actually Summit cruise starts on the 27th but we are flying out a day early and have booked the Westin Regina Europa hotel on the Grand Canal and look forward to eating breakfast canal side. Also we want to sit in St Mark's square and drink coffee listen to the orchestra. We will pay a hefty price for it but it is the experience.
I am sure that if you stay on this web site you will learn how to do this for yourself. I have never paid over the odds for a particular cruise I have booked. If the price drops with X then I can have these prices applied to my booking as I have a very good TA. With Cunard I have had upgrades and love the QM2 and hope to be on her later this year. You will quickly learn which Companies suit you do not fear in fact you may get this BUG that pulls us all in. In the meantime enjoy your time looking for bargains or whatever suits your needs.

There is a decent deal on the Norwegian Jade again for 12 nights on 7th September. The cruise only price on the ncl.uk website is £609, includes pre-paid gratuities and fuel surcharges etc. The main difficulty is it leaves and returns to different places....from Barcelona, to Istanbul so flights not straightforward and probably not that cheap!

Certainly a beautiful time of year to be on the Med!
