We were not going away, but the weather has been tripe! A very very last min decision, but am feeling unlucky. Any ideas please?

Wonder if NCL will have another deal like the Jade on that went for £500 for 14 days my sons after one but only want to spend £500 each because they are saving to get married

That A3 is not bad at all for 2PAx. just over £1kpp add in 3-4share forthe 2nd bed, <$500pp

I think the Jade prices are still better value(A3 £1300pp 12n) for later in the year(time/dates permitting).

Prices for the Gem BCN trips seem high at the moment at the lower grades, they will probably drop nearer the time the schools go back.

Last years £500 14n will be unlikely, except as a very late booking, misprices(US $ price set to the UK £ price) don't happen that often.

Probably the best value around is the Jade Dec12(£314), but there will be others Celebrity are popping up but £500 will be tight.

If they can wait a bit then the Island £299 might be back before the ships leave for the winter definately next year in the spring.

The other option will be to look out for the TA prices dropping and hope that the flights are still available, we did the Gem Mini suite 9n TA BCN to Boston including both air for under £500. RCI have one going to Galveston that looks good but is over £500 ATM.

If you can give a rough time window, and how long a cruise will keep eyes peeled for them.

Time frame for son is May/June 09 they would like out of the UK to med or flying to the Med they have never crusie before and ages are 28 and 23
The other one is for me and Kev we cant go now for our 30th MIL asto have hip replacement and been told it will be around October
Kevs not keen on going back on the Summit ( seen a deal on that one selling today only) so a bit stumped
7-10 days would be ideal and as we dont intend getting of much we wanted a good cabin and to enjoy the ship
Other alternative is a hotel based holiday

If you want loads of ship time then that A3 would be ideal,
Private sun deck, In courtyard dining from any menu, luxury.

Need some for extra tips for the butlers if you use them a lot.

Take the kids they have their own little room so are out the way and at $500pp extra its a bargain.

who will look after the cats if I offer to take them?
1 week with them pair all loved up would be worse than staying at home

Have been chasing this one all day, cannot talk my wife into going!! VTG are now sold out, and cruise compete returns most are saying sold out, with a couple offering M category at $1068 which is same as Mandy quotes (for 2). Can only dream, but if you want this deal you need to move right now.

It is still showing available on ncl websites, but could be sold out despite that.

For anyone looking for P&O Ventura on 10th October for 14 nights, cruise kings have insides at £999 which is the lowest I have seen it since we booked best part of a year ago. At that time we got free kid/adult offer, which is not available now but there is a family of 3 price at £2650 and 4 price that was £3800. Both of the family ones offer £100 OBC so best deal is for 3 at net £2550.

The sailing date is a day earlier than the Scottish schools October holiday, and the second week of cruise would be the English equivalent. It is not too naughty to have the kids out for an extra week is it!!

Hi everyone, thanks for a great thread.

We're already booked on NCL Jade on 16 Jan, but we've got some friends looking to come too.

One double cabin and one single cabin needed. Both insides, preferably Cat J or above, but would take lower at a really good price.

Best option at the moment is the deal you know about, £549(K) or £589(J) inc service charges, flights and one night in BCN. And the same place is £959 for any inside single.

If anyone comes across anything better, either with or without flights, I'd be grateful if you could let me know.

These are fantastic prices Mandy, if we were not already booked in October would definitely go for one or other. Wouldn't worry too much about booking US agent, and cruise only, as Rome is so easy and cheap to fly into. It is a breeze to get into Rome Terminii rail station and down to Civitavecchia. Just make sure you go out at least a day pre-cruise and stay overnight in hotel. If anyone needs more detail about how to get from airport to Rome to Civitavecchia etc. or anything else, please just ask.
