hi all and thanks for the pic matty.am not a builder but it looks like the main structure is up so perhaps it will be done by the end of june dont you think ? i dont go till aug 24 th.which i know is no help to you guys but hopefully all major work will be done and it will be just the cosmetics when we all go.the apartments look ok from what i can see.fingers crossed

Just to let you know I was suppose to be staying in this hotel from june 22 2005 but airtours have just contacted me to say they have swapped my accomodation to the oasis duna hotel because lobos bahia refurb will not be finished until the end of june (28th to be exact).
hope this info is of use.
will update you when i get back a week later.

Just spoke to a Great Girl at First Choice
Her name was Keely and she delighted in telling me she was 'Senior Team Leader'
She says they are still sending people there to arrive on the 29th june although she admitted that building work was still taking place (only after i told her about the photos though)
I do pity the people who are supposed to be arriving on those dates

hi matty wife rang me at dinner time to say we finally got a letter from going places informing us about the 26 apartments being built at the back of lobos.i only told them 4 weeks ago about it lol.still no mention about the work at the front though,makes you wonder if they know anything about the places they send us

I have tried to get through to them that i would want to know 4 weeks before departure where i will be going, but i suppose in reality i have no choice
I am just hoping they can offer me something decent or my missus will get one of her solicitors letters sent to them!!!

the letter we got said they werent offering us an alternative as they deem the building work to be minor !!!!!.i,ve got the safe and sound broucher just incase.and i dare say wife will be on her guard too and like most wife,s she aint one to be taken lightly lol
Thanks guys for the photos and all the updates. We have had no contact from First Choice yet. But we don't travel until 17/08/05 so theres time yet. 
I'm booked to go to Lobos Bahia Apts on 13th July with my wife and our 2 kids (age 7). I've been worried by what's going on and have contacted First Choice twice now. Today I was told that their Resort Area Manager is going to visit the complex tomorrow (Friday 18th) and they will have an update for Monday (20th). As it stands just now they say there is nothing more they can do and they are not relocating anyone going after 28th.
If the Resort Manager tells them all is not well I've been informed they'll contact us next week to let me know what options I have and whether we can be relocated. I reckon as of Monday I'm just going to keep harassing them till I get something sorted out as time is marching on :

re read the letter that we got yesterday and we can change to another location if we want and mytravel will not charge us the transfer fees.but if we do we will have to pay for the upgrade.had along talk with wife and daughters and we decided to stick with lobos.as there seem,s to be loads of great beaches and other things to do we will just use lobos as a sleeping place.not going to let any building works spoil our holiday
I am with you david. As long as it is ok to sleep and get changed then we will spend the time on the beach or seeing the sights. It's got to be better than working

I think it was 12 days before.They have since (going places) paid £40 per adult compensation into my bank account.
Just hope hotel oasis duna our replacement is ok.
