We stayed at a beautiful hotel a number of years ago in Giza. It was called Cateract Pyramids Resort situated on Sakkara Road, Giza.

We really enjoyed it - the pool area is fabulous, about the size of a huge lake and same depth all round. There were quite a lot of Italians there when we stayed so they were a bit voluble.

The rooms were really nice and all located around the pool.

Good location and only a short taxi ride to the Pyramids but obviously, a little further from Cairo centre. If she wants to see Pyramids & Museum etc - it's a great base.
