I know its a while since I came home but here is our trip report...
Feb 12th Sunday left Manchester at 3.15 and flight time was 8hours40 to Goa. We actually arrived 15 mins early and we cleared immgration & had collected our cases in 30 minutes! we were very careful not to let anyone get our cases onto a trolley and did it ourselves! So no money paid out at all......a first! We met Harry our taxi driver outside and he drove us to the MD.
Arrived at hotel in an hour and checked in. 2 rooms next to one another in the main building (as requested) on the second floor. Great view from balcony!

We dumped our cases and put on our shorts and then went and had breakfast at the MD. We then started walking to baga beach but ended up jumping a taxi to the box bridge (or whats left of it!) and we walked from there. A bit shocked by the amount of rubbish that was on the football pitch to our left though, as this wasn't here on our last visit 2 years ago.

As soon as we were roadside we were being asked to come in to the various shacks along the beach. We just wanted to walk but couldnt do so in peace, even in the water! We decided to go to The Bistro as we knew several of the lads from previous years in another shack. Lauren our 3 year old was loving the sea and had her picture taken loads of times this first day (probably because she was so white!). No cows on the beach any more though?.......

We had our first Kingfisher beer

While we were waiting for lunch Lauren acually fell asleep on the seat next to me so we had to lay her on a sunbed in the shade while we ate our lunch! She slept from 1pm til 6.30 and we all had short sleep too.
When we had showered and unpacked we decided to go to All Spice for our first night. We had Shamee kebabs, garlic lemon chicken & prawn majestic to start with then tandoori platter, chicken mowglai, veg jalfrezi, chicken fried rice & chicken grilled with chips. 5 breezers 3 kingfishers 2 choc milkshakes & 2 ice creams. Bill was 2650 rps. The waiters were fab with the children and made their seats higher for them with extra chairs and cushions. We happened to meet David H and Goan Crazy & Goan Shopping in All Spice (they had recognised Lauren and her red hair!)
Back to MD and a fairly early night after our first FAB day in Goa.
Feb 13th Monday
Was awake several times in the night for some reason

We bought some tiny pink slipper style shoes for Lauren and heard the funniest comment from the shop owner. When I had said that I didn't think she had them on the correct way round, the guy said "madam this is India....we have no left or right!" well we all just fell about laughing

We went back to Hotel and got ready for the evening. We had a drink at the hotel bar by the annexe and watched the sun go down. Lovely!

A nice G&T and a view to die for

Went to J&A's for dinner. We had mixed dips and bread as one starter and tomato bruschetta. Children shared garlic bread. My main course ws a tuscan beef stew and it was gorgeous! The meat was so tender and stew had potatoes and peas in it as well. Dad and stu had steak, garlic mash and sauce..rosemary and port wine for dad and mushroom and sage for Stu. Mum had kingfish and children had lasagne. 4 bacardi breezers 3 kingfishers and 2 milkshakes bill 2770rps.
From here we decided that we would go and visit the banana festival.....well the taxi driver did give us a funny look when we asked to go there.....when we arrived we found out why!!

Lauren had developed a nasty cough so dedided to take her to see chemist in the morning.
