Valdemossa is a beautiful village if you get the chance to go (and can stomach the Michael Douglas presentation)

The journey there passing beaches and coves accessible only to yachts is wonderful and worth it alone.

Don't know where else to post this but I just asked Biff to alter an incorrect holiday review. Couldn't believe how fast you did that Biff. Must have been less than a minute, I am very impressed, talk about being on the ball!

Thank you

After been in Majorca, staying in Palma Nova and having been everyday in Magaluf and Palma Nova I was very surprised not see any posters on display of little missing Maddie anywhere!!.

I was staying in a family hotel Sol Mirlos and even the tour operators did not have on display or in the books the poster.

Even at the airport arrivals and when we are in the airport on the return journay there was no posters.

After receiving terrible childcare at the Sol Hotel Kids Club I was in when the Kids Rep just left my 6 year on his own !! in the next door hotel scared the life of my son and spoilt his holiday. and mine at the thought what might have happened.

I wish now I had printed copies off and taken out to put around the area.

After 7 long months the day has arrived, we are off to Sa Coma today. Only 9 hours till we fly. At least we will be leaving the awful weather behind, it seems like winter here today. Oh well wall-to-wall sunshine tomorrow!

Happy holidays to everyone else who is going on holiday in the next few days.

We are off to Cala Millor in September and we are thinking about taking our daughter to one of the waterparks. I have just priced up with Thomsons their excursion price for the Western Waterpark and they want £75.51 for 2 adults and 1 child (who is only 3½). This includes coach, entrance, meal voucher, a tshirt and frisbee for child and a bouncy castle voucher. I have checked the website for Western Waterpark and prices are €21 for adults and children €13 (under 4s are free). It doesnt include coach but is obviously a lot cheaper

I am now wondering about making my own way there. Are buses frequent from Cala Millor? How long does it take to travel there? Would it be better to pay the money to Thomsons and take their organised trip? Would going to Arenal/Aquacity or Magaluf/Aqualand be easier/cheaper? Is it straightforward to get there? Questions, questions

Any input would be appreciated. Thank you.

You pay more for Thomson trips - there are a few places within the resort that offer trips usually dramatically cheaper - you'll see them as you walk down the main drag in Cala Millor and on the front near KFC.

Obviously doing it your own way means you don't have all the hotel stop offs on the way or on the way back and you can obviously stay as long as you like.

I haven't tried it personally so can't comment but I'm sure someone will be along with better advice.

Thanks. I know if you book excursions with the TO they are always a lot dearer but because it is so far away from Cala Millor, I dont know what to do for the best.

The difference however, between the organised Thomson trip and making our own way there and paying at the door is a lot of money - £48.00 approx . I know you get a coach transfer and a meal voucher but that will be a large chunk out of our spending money in one day.

I think I will wait and see whats on offer in resort and if anyone else can make any suggestions but thanks ever so for yours.
