Hi Jodie - insect repellent and antiseptic cream/sting relief cream in case of any insect bites. If you have little ones, and they have an upset tum, Dioralyte (not sure how to spell it) - sachets of powder you put in water and they can drink to replace lost fluids if they've been sick. Have fun in Majorca

another thing i take even though my kids are a bit older youngest 6, is baby wipes as you can whipe any mess of them especially when eating. We are going to sa coma in october.

Hi Julie. Where are you staying in Sa Coma? Will it be October half term?

Don't forget to pack plasters, calomine lotion to soothe any sunburn, antihistamines for prickly heat/bites but check if suitable for your childs age.

what about tweezers for spelks or something, a bandage, dont forget heartburn tablets for yourself rennie rapeze are lovely. just like refreshers and work instantly, sudocrem, i wouldnt worry too much as most large hotels have a first aid kit and also chemists are really good.

saying that we went to a hotel that had a few loose and chipped tiles on the bottom of the pool and kids kept cutting their toes so i would take plenty plasters just in case.

Don't worry if you miss something out - the chemists here are very helpful and most speak good english.

We always take:

Plasters
2 packs of Kool'n'Soothe sheets (great for high temps & bumps to head)
Calpol sachets
Burofen sachets
Insect bite cream
Piriton syrup
Dioralyte (sp) sachets
Braun Thermoscan (or other thermometer) as we've had a couple of holidays where we've needed it.

anything else we've needed we've gone into a chemist and asked - they're pretty good and you can usually explain what you want really easily - we've never had a problem.

You can pick up FAB stuff in chemist called Eryplast which we used to buy for nappy rash but once home we've found more uses for it and swear by it - it's like Sudocrem but doesn't sting like that does.

Aftejventus is also available from chemists over there and is a FAB solution for mouth ulcers.
