at your age, and what you say you want from your holiday-vodka and salad- this hotel may well be ok for you. it is basic 3* AI hotel with lots of stairs,dodgy lifts and normally full of people your age. sleep on a holiday/hotel like this is i believe optional.
at my age i woul;d definitely pay the extra for the royal star.
lloret is a working town so a lot of bars/clubs stay open all year, but some of them will not re-open until easter so it will be a bit hit and miss.
the robin hood pub in fanals will be open and that is usually ok for a night out, as will most bars in the main street.
there are plenty weather related sites in the thread above, including some 10 day forecast ones which i always use before booking.
dont know too much about airport transfers as i normally go by coach, but even if youy go to royal star, that hotel is only about 10 mins walk from the bus station .

The only bus service that is at Girona Airport is the service from the Airport to the main bus station in Barcelona as far as I know but if you have a look at this site you might be able to find more info.
