I was surprised to find so little information on the internet, and I have driven through this resort on the way to Viareggio. It is part of a ribbon development along the west Italian coast, with sandy beaches, shady pine trees and with plenty of cafés selling tremendous icecreams.

I would think that your cruise ship would offer some tours, perhaps to as far away as the Cinque Terra or even Pisa. Perhaps you should ask them for excursion details for this port, or be prepared to wander slowly with a large icecream or sit at a beachside café with a good bottle of wine and an even larger ice cream sundae!!
