Several of the reviews on the link Biff gave you mention air conditioning in the rooms and according to the blurb on the hotel chain's own website, the Marinda garden apartments have a "bath, terrace or balcony, living room with two sofa-beds, view of the garden or swimming pool, satellite television, music, hairdryer, air conditioning, and security safe (for an additional charge)."

Here's the link to more info and photos:-

We have booked here in Cala n Bosch for August this year on an All Inclusive Basis. Our girls will be 17 & 13 & we were wondering if there was anyone else going about the same time with kids around the same age or if there was plenty for both the older & younger teen to do at the hotel & around

Thanks

We went last august and really enjoyed the resort. Aquapark, harbour walking distance. Harbour has plenty of restaurants, shops + bars, with goody goodies main attraction for the kids, crazy golf, swimming pool with slides, arcade, train ride round Cala 'n Bosch resort, plenty of boat trips, etc. A short bus trip (15mins) to ciudadela is a must, great shopping, restaurants, bars + harbour.

We have 2 girls aged 17 & 13 with us so hoping that there is plenty there or at least others of a similar age to keep them occupied

Any views??

Returned from Marinda Gardens last Sunday. 6 Adults , 9 year old and 1 year old.
The apartments were ideal for us, nice pool, plenty of sunbeds and umbrellas, mini golf area, and bikes available to rent.
Short walk to Marina and resturants. Very nice. Would recommend the steak house in the square, next to the band stand.Beach area is quite small, sun beds go quite early, but lovely clear blue sea.
Apartments are next to the Waterpark and Go Karting Track.
Bus stop outside entrance to apartments which will take you into Citudella.
We had 3 (1 bedroom )apartments although quite small were adequate. I would highly recommend asking for a 1st floor apartment as these have a good sized balcony which are not overlooked, the ground floor apartments did'nt really have a terrace and some were very enclosed.
The apartments offer a Drinks Package for 7 days which costs 53.50 euro adults, 27.00 euro children , which was good value. Hope this helps

Hi

We stayed in August this year - we had a groud floor appartment just to the side of the bar and entertainment ares which suited us fine as we like to be in the middle of things.

We has a 1 bed apartment - you walk in through the main door into a corridor - there are 3 doors off this - 2 to the left & 1 facing. The 1st door was the lounge/dining/kitchen/kids bedroom - depending on what you used the area for - the 2nd was a bedroom - the door facing is the bsthroom - although there is no lock on this. :?

We had a fantastic 2 weeks- hope you do too :D

Has anybody stayed here.

I have booked with my family for July 2008.

However, I keep reading reports on trip advisor about the accommodation, like 'do not go' etc.

It seems to be the apts that are the problem. Are they that bad on the ground floor.

I know some people are just moaners in general and I would prefer the facts.

I have emailed the hotel last year and they have told me to email again a week before for my request.

Hi Melaniepilling,

We stayed at Marinda Gardens in 2006, we were allocated ground floor rooms situated at the front of complex facing the road that leads you to the Harbour / Beach. We found these rooms to be the best situated on the complex. There were other ground floor rooms making up the centre of the apartment complex that were court yard style with walkways interweaving passed balconys/terraces which we thought weren't very private. Overall we found the rooms to be more than adequate. We would definitely return to the Marinda Gardens again and Cala 'n Bosch is a fantastic resort with easy travel to other towns especially Cuitadella. No need to worry as you will enjoy it, a good choice of both accommodation and resort.

Thanks for you reply,

We stayed at the Princesa Playa this year and really liked Cala n Bosch, but chose different accommodation due to cost during the school hols.
