45 mins.......... through icmeler up the mountain and down the other side...great views but a bit windy..... catch the dolmus 2 blocks from tansas

The water taxi is lovely, the views are amazing and you get a sun tan on the way

hi thought the water taxi would take much longer to get there.

I got the water taxi from Icmeler and it took about 40 mins so a bit longer from Marmaris yes, but well worth it for the views and fesh air

Depending if you have a head for heights you may decide to come back on the water taxi.We went to Turunc from Icmeler last month and my husband insisted we came back by boat.I didnt think the road was that bad,Ive been on worse,but he is terrible with high mountain roads.There were moments where we were in the clouds!.Have your camera ready.

I dont know whether the road has got better or we have got braver! The first time we went to Turunc in 1997, we were terrified on the road over the mountains, but now we don't bat an eyelid.
Travelling is so easy in Turkey both the Dolmus and water-taxi go at 1/2 intervals or might be 1 hourly I always forget, throughout the day until late at night. I do know the first dolmus is 7 am, as we have used that one, when we took a trip to Datca in the summer. We can never get over how reliable the transport is in Turkey.

We discovered how easy the bus trip was to Turunc by accident. We had gone to Turunc by water taxi and thought the time shown in Marmaris as the last taxi was the time it left Turunc (I know it sounds dumb now) Anyway it didnlt take long for someone to point us in the direction of the bus stop. We ended up going back a couple of times as it was so easy and we enjoyed Turunc very much.

We seem to have a habit of wanting to go the beach thats the furthest away. They always seem so much better. We have done the same thing in Ibiza, Majorca. In olu Deniz our Fav place at the moment, we like to go to Suara Beach.

this will be our fifth time to marmaris but this time just the wife and i no kids.so will have some time to venture a little bit farther afield...hurry up winter and roll on summer.

ok nubber its time to go wild........... take a "dolly" to Hisaronu, orhaniye , selimiye and I guarantee you a great day............. real turkey

I am pretty sure you can get a dolmus from Marmaris, probably from the bus station at the top of Marmaris.

dolmus to marmaris then dolmus to selimiye from opposite Burger king i think.
be brave ,.... hire a motor and do the whole peninsula.. you wont regret it.

Thanks a lot. We were brave enough to hire a motor last year and went to Datca...that road was a bit scary at times...but having driven up and down the mountain to Turunc several times I expect anything else will be a doddle now
