I 1st went to Goa in 2007 for a girly holiday, I am really looking forward to taking my 12yr old son this April. We are staying at The Colonia de Breganza, last time I stayed at the Mira Hotel.
Can anyone give me a few ideas to keep a 12 year old occupied? Hoping to go on the Jungle Book Tour, any other trips suitable?
many thanks

Welcome to the fold
I am Amanda (*cough 21ish* ) I first visited Goa on a girly holiday in 1997, I have since returned every year, Either with my Husband Simon whilst I too was working full time, or lately since I've been medically retired from work, with my Mum Grace. We tend to go for 8 weeks from early Jan to early March.
We always freelance it, booking flights and always stay in Antonio's guest house in Candolim.
We are hoping to make some meets now that I have discovered this fantastic site.

I'm Sarah and my husband is Paul, we are both 36 and live in Essex (but are not chavs, honest ) No kids, but one dog and two cats so that adds to the holiday bills! Paul works in shipping (he could bore you all to death naming the ports in every country) and I work teaching post grads on a public relations training programme.
I am quite well travelled having been to China, Hong Kong, Australia, South Africa, Dominican Republic, Cyprus, Germany, France, Italy, Spain, Holland, Belgium, America - New York and Florida, erm.... I've sure I've missed somewhere. Does Scotland count?
My husband has been to Kefalonia and then with me to Turkey and the Domincan Republic.
Turkey is our favourite place - we got married there and we've been about ten times now, but I do like to try other places. Last year we were due to go to Morocco but had to cancel at the last minute as my father was taken ill. So we are very much looking forward to going to Goa in February! I am really pleased to be seeing a bit more of Asia and I think this may be a trend that goes on to 2012 as we are considering Cambodia, Vietnam and Thailand for then.
When we are away we like quietish bars and restaurants (no karaoke thank you) and are not really clubbers. I like the markets - and my husband puts up being dragged around them. He likes things like paragliding and jetskiing.
We're staying at the Silver Sands in Candolim and are both getting very excited about it! I've had lots of helpful advice from the Goa forum so thank you all very much. I hope to repay you all with a nice trip report when we get back.
oh looking forward to reading that
Does Scotland count?
Only if you got your passport stamped when you arrived in God's Country Sarah
I am sure you will love Goa.
I also like Turkey and was at a wedding in Altinkum in September.
We are just back from Morocco in December.
Probably wont see you in Goa as we arent going until March, but I hope you have a fantastic time

Hi Gooorooo - Don't suppose you could get Paul to take a look at the River Princess while he's over there could you?
Hope you enjoy Goa and look forward to reading all about it - may even see you at one of the meets later next month if you're there.
