gjb,
I can only pass on information I have showing on my screen. Personally, I'd have no problem flying with them. The aircraft is showing as 26 rows / Boeing 737-300. Why cancel your flights? They are a safe airline to fly with. They have their failings in some ways, but they are safe to fly with.

Monarch have suspended their use of Aurela, after the incident at Birmingham airport.
Having flown with them a few times in the past, and had regular delays and horrible flights, and having seen other recent posted comments on HT, and having seen the recent fiasco at Birmingham airport, I think I'd rather walk and swim to wherever than book a Monarch flight.
I've flown with them twice this year, and no complaints. I also used them last year. I was going to book fights for next with them, only Jet2 introduced a new route which is great for us, so I booked with them instead.
Hi, we are flying on 21/10/12 ZB958 Birmingham to Palma, can anyone tell me if this will be Monarchs own plane please?

All very well and good saying that, but did you get bumped onto an old Lithuanian crate for your 2 flights.?
Anyone who hadn't been on one of these wet-lease planes, IMO, wouldn't have anything to complain about.
Now Monarch are singing from the hymn sheet that the wet-leasing is expected to end at the end of October, which is absolutely no consolation to the thousands of passengers that paid out money, for a level of service which they didn't receive this summer.
Anybody remember the days of the 'Crown Service' that Monarch used to pride itself on?
They've come a long way since those days, unfortunately, in the wrong direction, and if this summer's fiasco is the regard they hold for their customers, they deserve to go bust.

one from Sanjii "What the hell are Monarch playing at" which actually includes link to a video which, to me, indicates just how much Monarch really care about passenger safety. (not a lot!)
Aviation standards and safety?
Bill, put the evidence in front of them and the silence is deafening.

How do you know that? (I'm joking)
Fantastic when the lovely Darren can tell you what aircraft is going to be operating your flight, and Monarch don't know.
I know who I believe, and it ain't Monarch .

Thanks for the info Darren, I can show my very excited grand-daughter our aircraft when she gets in from school.
