Did you not ask why it was cancelled when they called? Partyboy_uk might be able to shed more light but it won't resolve your situation.
Darren
why with passengers, (the woman was very rude about the whole thing) but we will contact you during the week regarding an alternate flight. and I understand it wont solve my problem but im just interested why ??
thanks darren
they said that they did not need to discuss thanks darren
Got it all sorted now hence one last request from you Darren, thanks monarch wanted to transfer us to a flight 1 day earlier however wern't prepared to pay for the hotel that night so after some haggling they have transferred our flights to TCX. I no this is in the wrong forum but I am now flying on the 9th until the 23rd of july 2011 TCX2538/2539 just wondering what plane it shall be and what is the IFE if any ?
thom767,
hi I am flying from Manchester to Lanzarote on the 7th July on Jet2 LS891 & returning on the 14th July on Monarch ZB547
James84,
cheers how about the Jet2?
You should enquire about this flight in the Jet2 forum
I am getting conflicting information and wondered if you could help. I am flying PE in Sept from Gatwick to Sanford. I have been told it is recommended that I check in 3 hours before the flight. However, on the one hand I am being told check in opens only 3 hours before, and on the other, I am being told it opens 4 hours before, and that to avoid a long queue I need to be there 5 hours before. Does anyone know which is correct? And is there a seperate check in desk for PE passengers? I would like to be an early arrival at check in to try to make sure I get the seats I have requested. Thanks
Check-in opens 4-5 hours prior to your departure time. The recommended check in for long haul is 3 hours before your departure time. There's a premium check-in desk at most airports.
Darren
We have sometimes arrived before our flight has opened, the check-in staff have just sorted it out and checked us in.
could you tell me what plane i am on and if IFE is telly in the isle or seat flip down screen
man to dalaman MON1268/9 aug 27
Thanks
MAN-DLM-MAN (MON1268/9) are operated by an Airbus A300B4-605R. You'll find extensive aircraft information including IFE and current listing on our What Aircraft? guide (link below).

Hi! I'm travelling to Larnaca with Monarch this Wednesday (ZB 648) and returning a week later (ZB 641) - when I went on the on-line check-in I noticed that the two airplane plans are different (3+3 and 3+3+3) - never had this when travelling to Cyprus before - why is this and where's best to sit please? (especially as there doesn't seem to be any extraleg room seats left on the latter flight) Thanks!
What Aircraft Guide.
The A300 has recently been reconfigured so that the front 7 rows offer extra legroom. If none of these seats is showing as available then you may want to consider either row 9 or row 31. Both of these rows are in fact located adjacent to the emergency exits and also offer additional legroom. 31 A and J are allocated crew seats and so if you choose to sit next to either of these seats then you will have more space around you for most of the flight.
Have a great holiday!
Dolphin1790, welcome to the forums! Your outbound flight is operated on an A321-200 and your inbound flight is operated on an A300-600. I have just contacted Monarch to make my seating requests 90 days in advance as they suggested. Firstly, I was told this was not possible any more, so I rang a different number and the girl did it for me straight away with no problem whatsoever. What I am really puzzled about is that I was requesting seats 2H&J (airbus 330) as per the seating plan on seat guru. The girl said that these do not exist. That H is an aisle and that the furthest forward seats are 2J&K so she booked these. Are these the seats I actually wanted? ( the furthest forward row of two on the right hand side.) I have had these seats on this type of plane before and they had a huge amount of legroom which was what I was after. She also said these are emergency exit seats. According to the plan they are not, the door is the other side of the bulkhead??
As you say, according to Seatguru, there are no 'K' seats anywhere in the A330.
However, according to Seatguru, there IS an emergency exit on the right hand side of the plane (as well as on the left hand side).
Thanks for the quick reply - I've just been on the seat selection for my return flight on the Monarch website and all the first 7 row seats are already booked. I've now looked on rows 9 and 31 as you suggested but I'm still a bit confused as only 9A is down as an exit seat (also 43A) -? - but 31A and J are already taken so I presume this is indeed due to being crew seats so I should go for 31B&C or G&H at standard seat prices -??
Just spoken to Monarch again and by chance got the girl who took the seat request this morning who insists the seat numbers are correct. When I queried why some of the staff refuse to take a request she said that it is not considered necessary to make a request as you will be seated together anyway . Some take the request, some won't bother and will tell you it can't be done!!
