Hi
I also was in Marmaris this September for a week (flew out on the 11th too) And i did not get bitten once !! I was a bit worried about our transfers into our resort as thats when them little mozzies attack!
I took Garlic capsules a week before flying and took anti-istamine tablets too. I used the Avon SSS spray after showering. I tried this whilst in Cyprus in July and Majorca in May and didnt get bit also.
A nice relief actually.
Maria
I got 28 bites on my feet 2 days after we got there and my bites always swell up in to big blisters not nice at all i couldn't get anything but flip flops on my feet for 10 days.
Got no bites any where else just on my feet.My husband got one bite!
we were in ovacik/ hisaronu in july this year, fab place to be APART FROM THE MOSSIES!!! Out of the four of us, i was eaten most, the little darlings were MERCILESS!! Used OFF spray, also lemon oil(recommended by the locals) but i was bitten SOO badly, my legs swelled up like I had elephantitis!!! Nice with the summer dresses and sandals, I felt so attractive-NOT! Now, I am left with loads of scars on my legs and feet, also on my back, they are bright red still, I look like a leper! Left very self concious about it, cant go bare legged now! Mind you, i was the only one of us to be bitten by spiders in Albufeira, must have real juicy blood. One waiter told us not to wear perfume/deodorant as this attracts the mossies, (also accounts for some waiters hygeine problems I guess!) Still, was a great holiday, if I can find a mossie cure I would go back in a minute!
