The schedule is showing they are using an Airbus A330-243 for your flight. These are excellent birds.

My Travel

Hi All
We have travelled with this company quite a few times. Most aspects of the flight are fine but we do seem to have a return journey with no entertainment with monotonous regularity. This happened the first time when we returned from Sanford to Manchester. They tell you the equipment is out of order. Now when it happens we are never surprised. The only thing is it never seems to happen on the outward journey.
Am I just being a spoilsport here or has this happened to others?

Flying to Goa in 2 weeks and have paid for the upgrade.Anyone know if I can pre book window seats or is it like First Choice where the aircraft is seated depending on how early you booked.

Hi , we have just booked to go to Cancun on the 15th October from Glasgow @ 13.30pm . Outbound flight is MYT015 , is it too early to determine what kind of plane we will be flying on ?

It's too early to be precise as yet and considering the recent merger of MYT and TCX, anything could happen! MYT normally use an Airbus A330-243 but they also have a couple of Boeing 767-31K's so it will be one of the other of those two types. If you aske me closer to the time, I'll be able to confirm for you.

I've not heard of anything with regards to fleets at the moment, I suspect all that is yet to be discussed in major detail. The My Travel aircraft will be integrated in to the Thomas Cook fleet and likely carry the TCX livery since the merged company will create Thomas Cook Group. Its too early to say what will happen with aircraft since MYT have a dominent Airbus fleet and TCX Boeing. Will they want the hassle of maintaining all the different types and powerplants? MYT consolodated to an Airbus fleet not long ago to save costs. Since they both operate to similar destinations, I'm sure there'll be a review as to what capacity is required and the fleet adjusted accordingly. Just have to see how things pan out.

Just have to wait and see what happens, way too early to speculate on things at the moment. There'll be lots to discuss on the merger of the two travel companies and from the sounds of it, its very complex. All I know is, the new company will be known as Thomas Cook Group so I should think all the branding will take on the current, or a modified TCX look. It'll be sad to see the loss of the MYT livery, its nice and bright and catchy compared to TCX's but lets wait and see. Onboard service between TCX and MYT wasn't all that different anyway, althought TCX were introducing additional things in May so I should think that'll be eventually be across the board. There's a seperate thread on the merger here.

Its way to early to even speculate on that, chances are that the changes to the airline wont happen till the winter ready for Summer 2008.
The whole merger is subject to clearance and approval by regulators and the EU. The staff at both companies dont even know what is happening with the merger yet, ie brands and jobs yet.

Meals on board.

This is my first time flying flight only with MYTRAVEL.
I found out today that because we are flight only we do not get meals included they are separate at the cost of 17.50 each to me this is a RIP OFF.Has anyone else gone through this experience and is this normal of MYTRAVEL.
