Yes we got hassled by local stallholders, and yes Naama bay is too commercialised, and the whole resort is like an oasis for tourists in the middle of the desert, but we loved it, the trip to the pyramids, the midnight climb up mount sinai, and swimming with tropical fish off sharks bay.
We have been to Naples, Agadir, and most recently Marmaris, since then, but none of those holidays were anything near as enjoyable.
We still contact friends we made back then, both holiday makers and locals.
Would like to try Luxor next time, but is it as good?
