Looking into buying a set of noise cancelling headphones.
Can anybody recommend me a good set.
How long do the batteries on them last?
Mark
I think (my) Mark has some, I'll ask him. He's a musician so usually is very picky about things like this

A friend that I often travel with has a set of Bose generation 2 ones and I have tried them but personally I didn't find them any better that my ALAN CE Noise Busters which were a much cheaper buy, though they don't seem to be available anymore.
Bose usually come out top or very near in any comparison tests.
I don't think I can quite afford a set of Bose ones, but these ones might just fit the bill:
I really like using mine, although they don't cut all the noise down they certainly help and they are very usefull for when I want to sleep on the plane.
Mark has a pair of Bose headphones which cost about £150. He says they are the dog's wotsits and that the battery lasts a long time.
I was going to buy my husband some Bose headphones for Christmas (had a bit of a shock when I realised the newest ones, Quiet3? were £280 though!) but my subtle questionning failed and he realised what I was planning on buying. He then said he would prefer some Audio-technica ANC7 headphones which had excellent reviews. These cost £120 and he is thrilled with them and feels they are better than the Bose ones he had tried previously.
slightly off topic - but I hav a Bose set of speakers for my laptop - they were expensive but the quality is A1 - you only get what you pay for
