I just realised you asked if there was much to do for the kids!
There is a dedicated kids club which is run by mainly Zam & Paka (who are great!) Theres tennis, volleyball, crazy golf, table tennis etc. Obviously theres the pools & in summer I believe they play games in the pool. They play games throughout the day which both kids & adults can join in. Nothing special but a giggle!
Theres the beach across the road & if you ask at reception in the morning they will supply you with a picnic to take with you. We never did this but a couple we spoke to did.
If your going with the idea of having a good time I'm sure you will. With there being 31 of you, theres no way you wont have a good time I'm sure!

I have been 3 times and loved each time more than the last. Also i recommend visiting the souk if you want a real feel for moroccan culture.

Hi, Im thinkin of having a quick week here in May. I would also like to know, is it far to the main strip? Are there a lot of counterfeit designer items (like Turkey) widely available? Are there generally strict dress codes in public (shirts on men etc)? Are there funny rules towards alcohol?

Thanks (i dont ask much do I)

I am going to this hotel in July, and would like to know what is the dress code for men in the resturants at night. I have read on some sites that it is evening dress what does this mean. Are men able to wear crop trousers and t-shirts etc. Or is this not exceptable.

I would love to hear from any members that have already been the to
Occidental Carribbean Village. thanks.

There are 5 restaurants at the hotel. In the main buffet one there isn't really a dress code - what ever you feel comfortable in! For the other 4 they are A la Carte restaurants so they do require you to dress up a bit. Its not like suit & tie but long trousers & long sleeved tshirt - maybe a shirt not sure.
As for whether it is far from the main areas of Agadir - we didnt really venture out - simply because we had all the entertainment we needed in the staff we made friends with but I don't think it was too far. We got chatting to some other English ppl who go back yr after yr & they used to go to some other bars at night so I don't think its far.
Fake designer wear - don't remember seeing anything like that! It was more like local crafts - woodwork & paintings etc.
Hope that helps x

thinking of booking for may,a family room sleeps 5,could anyone tell me if they have seperate bedrooms.and is the hotel within walking distance of any bars/restaurants

Hi. No there are not separate bedrooms at this hotel. We have not been there yet but are going ourselves in July. A family room sleeps upto 5 and consists of a large twin bed, 2 single beds or bunk beds for children and 1 single sofa bed. Aparantly the hotel is within walking distance of about 1km from all the shops, bars and restaurants and only about 300m from the stunning beach. :wave

Hi, just come across this site and it seems very helpful, what it is me and a mate have booked a holiday in occidental caribbean village - is this the same place as the occidental allegro?

I have read some reviews on both and i am a bit confused whether they are infact the same place - some reviews were awful and some good, im a bit worried!

It will be the first time ive been to morocco and all i keep on reading is that everyone ends up with stomach aches, dirrohea etc etc

Hi. welcome back :wave Glad you had a good time. At least you had something good to say about it. I just read someones report about Agadir and they said it was horrendous, they did not enjoy it atall. Hope the hotel was good and the food edible. Did you take any photos :?: What did you think of the weather :?: We only have to wait until July now, not long, so I hope the sun still shines by then.
