Useful Thread this to see what everyones perspectives are ... good to know that all shapes and sizes can wear whatever they want !!
My hubby wants a "fuller" tan this year and so wants to wear Trunks ... im trying to put him off the idea but hes not having it ?? Are these acceptable ?? Do many men wear them over there ??
Hubby could always throw on a pair of more trendy shorts over his trunks when you both wander away from the sun-bed. Just so as not to embarass you!
My daughter had such a laugh in Sharm last year seeing various nationalities parading around in what she very aptly called 'nut-huggers'!
I like it, that is so funny.
Once you are there, you will not feel paranoid (I promise!). Your long blond hair will get you so much positive attention (both male and female) that you will have to worry about your head getting larger!
I was paranoid about my bikini before I went - but everyone was too busy looking at my red hair to care about my fat bottom lol!
If I did feel a bit uncomfortable I just stuck a kaftan on - going to the bar for example.
Your much more likely to get unwanted male attention from men who find you attractive than the other way around - guaranteed!
In luxor, my boyfriend had to escort me to the pool when I was wearing a bikini as I seemed to have a swarm of waiters offering me drinks everytime I took my Kaftan off! That was uncomfortable though, and it wasn't like that in sharm
Enjoy yourself x
My daughter also has long red hair. We were in Cairo when she was only 12/13, she had males from 7 to 70 following her round calling her "spice girl" (the Spice Girls were big then), they wanted to touch her hair & stare at her.
She found it very embarrassing & a bit uncomfortable.
But that was mainly to do with her age, being so young. I think now shes older she eould just shrug it off.
But yes, they are fasinated with redheads.
so go and enjoy your hols and dont worry about yourself no one will take any notice they be to busy enjoying themselfs

Congratulations on your fabulous weight loss - and the good news is that if you want to be 'good' on holiday the food in Egypt tends to be fresh, unprocessed with plenty of fruit and vegetables. Plenty of choice for either red or green days!
thanks for that info i do want to be fairly good on hols
But, the comments on this page have given me the confidence to not bother what other mindless people think. At the end of the day - no-one is perfect. Id rather be fat and happy than skinny and miserable (and ignorant in some cases) And I've got a wonderful husband who loves me for me, no matter what size I am (after all, I'm still the same person whether I'm big or small).
Well done to all those who've lost weight, i've left it a bit too late for this holiday but hopefully next year I'll be joining yous and be down to at least a comfortable size 16
Thanks for the encouragement
I always go on holiday worrying about what I look like and if everyone can see my stretchmarks when I've got my bikini on, but this year is going to be different. I'm going to be proud of my body because it's mine. It has served me well and has given me three beautiful babies which have grown into two handsome strapping young men (13 &14) and a gorgeous little girl (7).
My husband loves me no matter what I look like and I do him too.
Have a great holiday.
We can't wait til 1st September when it'll be our turn in Egypt.
Emma
i worried when i was a size 24/26 and i still worry now i am a size 12, its just a differnt set of things to worry about, do i look ok in a bikini, do i have stretch marks, is my tummy saggy etc etc.. i guess we are just built to worry about our size i envy those who have body confidence

we are going back probably in october and i cant wait

As for what Raserglass put or should the name be RAZORGLASS, you should be ashamed of yourself for saying such things, are you an oil painting are you perfect?no i am sure you aren't and you really must be a superfical person if that is what you think about people. I'm glad i don't know you, anybody that makes comments like yours is a idiot.
By the way, what people say about how the men are in Egypt is very true, they like women to be women. not stick insects. the amount of offers my OH has had for me is mind blowing..
Ola
thankyou snowdrop for the kind words, a continuing work in progress here lol (hope thats ok not too phone text sorry if it isnt)
you should only diet if its what you want not because of other peoples opinions
It's such a shame we're made to feel this way, but at the end of the day, who cares what people think - enjoy yourselves and just remember how lucky you are to be alive and have a body that works
Well done to everyone losing weight, I'm sure it will help to make you feel more comfortable!
Razerlight or whoever he is should be ashamed of his comments! He must be an adonis, eh ladies
