No offence taken .I was referring to the fact that although russians have leased it,people automatically think it is a Russian hotel ,it is still run by turks with some russian workers. There are loads of Russians stay there ,but that is mostly the same in all of the hotels in Belek because it's so close to Moscow ,i think it is only about two hours flight.Just treat them the same as they treat you and they soon back off.

thanks Janet
I would be really surprised if this hotel was dirty as they are cleaning 24/7 .In all the times i have been there i never once had any complaint about the cleanliness or the food .The hotel as do many more only have a certain amount of staff during the winter months and it may be that some things are not getting done fast enough for some people.A couple from edinburgh contacted me round about September last year as the were going to the Zeynep in November for six weeks ,i told him honestly what i thought about it and all the things you could do in the hotel and Belek and the surrounding area .When they returned they contacted me to say how wonderfull it had been and they had booked up straight away for this August. The thing that speaks volumes to me about the Zeynep is the amount of guests that return there, sometimes as many as fourteen times. I am not talking about one or two but hundreds ,most every guest you talk to there are returning for their umteenth time .They cant all be wrong .It may take a wee while to get back on the ball during the take over ,but i cannot honestly say it would make all that much difference .As i have already said i have stayed there during both the Turkish and the Russian (regime) ,for want of a better word and never found much difference.
thanks janet
Hi janet ,there is not actually a lot to do in Belek and Kadriye as they are both very small. There is a market in Belek on a Saturday and one in Kadriye on a Tuesday .If you go to Kadriye thereyou will find a travel agents called lets go travel right next to the Roman bar where you can book good trips to places like aspendos ,ancient city of perge, boat trips ,trips to see dolphins and waterfalls ,and more .They are a fraction of the price you would pay from the big tour operators like Thomas Cook and such. You can also get the dolmus into Antallya where there is a lovely old harbour where you can go on boat trips ,there is also lots of places of historic interest there such as one of the oldest mosques in turkey .The shopping is also very good in Antallya.

The beds are not opened until 8am and in August you will have to be on your toes to get all the best spots, there is also a few beach huts with bean bags ,hammocks and swings ,if you are really fast you can get one of these .Trousers must be worn in the dining room in the evening,i have seen quite a few men being refused entry for trying to get in wearing shorts and a few woman trying to get in with shorts and bikini tops. Dress shorts and 3/4 are allowed .Beachwear is allowed in the mornings and at lunch time as long as the shoulders are covered.
Thanks have you been in august, i know it will be busy but just wondered if there's a lot of queing
We have been in August quite a few times and never had any trouble with queues. You will get the odd Russian trying to go in front of you ,but just let them know you are not there to be pushed to the side ,word soon gets around .Some of them make genuine mistakes as they queue different from us ,but some of them just come it ,i usually just tell them politely that there is a queue and they soon get the message.
Entertainment on when we went to Grida Village Thomas Cook and the hotel shared things out this worked very well
thanks Janet

many thanks nick
You have to wear trousers in the buffet and the ala carte .You may get away with dress shorts all depends who is on duty at the door of the buffet. There is a notice board at the door with the dress code . Ice cream is usually around 11am -1pm unless it has changed this year ,once or twice in the past i have seen it all day. There is a shop at the poolside where you can buy most things including ice cream and lollies ,but as in all hotels it is expensive.Hard to say what kind of money you will need ,some people go to A/I hotels dont go anywhere and dont spend anything. There are markets in Belek and Kadriye if you want to take things home.If you want to go on trips dont book them with your tour operator as they are at least twice what you will pay with the small operator .There is one in Kadriye called lets go travel where you will get great trips at a fraction of the cost.I carry a small cool bag for my insulin and i have sometimes bought lollies in kadriye just as the tractor is leaving as soon as i am in the hotel they go right into the freezer section of the fridge. There are plenty ways of saving money .I have also seen people with ice lolly moulds and making there own lollies in the freezer.
many thanks again nick
It only takes 10/15 mins at most .I think they run every half hour ,it stops right at the gate of the Sun Zeynep.
thanks Janet
