Hi been to the otium eight times now ,love it and the resort of belek .The hotel changed name round about five years ago .It is actually called the Sun Zeynep .The owners are actually Turkish who decided to build an airport in Affganistan and run out of money half way through building it .They leased the Sun Zeynep to the Otium group for five years so to have enough money to finnish the airport .The lease is up this year and it will be reverting back to the Sun Zeynep.

Lots more 5* all inclusive hotel being built along the strip some are really brilliant .We went twice to the Club Voyage last year ,brilliant. We are booked into the Susesi this June for two weeks and then back to the Zeynep early September for another two weeks .Although all these hotels built in Belek it is stil a really nice quiet laid back holiday .I'msure you will enjoy it . Hi Janet
We went when it was still the Sun Zenup and had a really good time there! We got a great deal for easter 5 years ago and got very good value for money! Lovely clean hotel and great staff when we went!
Yes there are going to be better hotels in the area but the price would reflect that!

What date are you going in June to the Susesi?? We are going 2nd July for 2 weeks! Did you check it out when you went to the Club Voyager?? If so what did you think?? It looks lovely on their website!
I have had a map of belek sent to me and it is quite along way from the Sun zeynup I think! We tried to find the Grida Village but walked miles and got has far has the Arcadia and gave up but now see it was the very next hotel!
Any info welcome, we are looking forward to returning to Belek! We are going to the Cornelia this easter, should have been going to Side but changed it last week!

Hi violet 123 .I did not mean to make any comparrison between hotels ,i just meant that there are a lot more hotels in belek now.I love the sun Zeynep and will always return there. The reason we went to the Club voyage last year was for a wee change ,it was brilliant but we left it to late to get in this year.Been outside the Susesi and talked to people who have stayed there ,looks great and the people all had good things to say about it .We are going on the 31st May for two weeks and are really looking forward to it. The Zeynep is this side of Belek and the clubVoyage and Susesi are on the other side .You can walk to belek from the Susesi and Club Voyage where you may have to get the bus or a cab from the Zeynep .Usually have to go to Kadreiy on the tractor then get a bus to Belek ,or else walk to the main road about ten minutes and get a bus .You soon get used to it .

Hi Bluepeterno1
Sorry i was not refering to any comments that you made! I was meaning that the Sun Zeynup is not a high end hotel but very good value for money!I will be very interested in your comments on the Susesi after your visit! I have seen lots of pictures on a german site and it looks lovely! I do know that they have bottled beers in the all-inclusive and a good selection of branded drinks!
Regards Violet!

There is a whole book of cocktails at the bar which you can choose from ,or you can just ask the barman to mix what you want .

Mostly all inclusive i am sure .They are made with local brands ,so you can ask them to put more content into them ,if you know what i mean .I am a scotch and beer man myself ,but i have tasted one or two when my daughters and the wife have had them . CHEERS :cheers

Hi Janet ,just because the Zeynep is cheaper does not reflect in the quality of the hotel .I think a lot do with the other hotels are the number of a la carte restaurants they offer .The Zeynep only has three and only for the last three years or so .They never had any untill then .It was only when they built a new amphitheatre that they had the room to convert the old stage to an italian ,the other two are turkish and fish which they set up around the pool. They are all really great ,but other hotels have anything between five and ten .The hotel i was in last year the Club Voyage had nine each one better than the other .By speaking to lots of other guests this seems to be high on their lists when booking a hotel .It would be interesting hearing other members views on this subject.

Yes I think it is partly to do with the speciality restaurants included but some of the hotels are what are refered to has "Ultra all inclusives" and they are 24 hour all inclusive packages which include international drinks, bathrobes and slippers, fridges filled daily with beers and soft drinks and some even include room service! All of which bump up the prices! The Sun Zeynep is a good hotel and I think it is a case of what you have never had you do not miss! If it is your first taste of a 5 Star hotel in Turkey you will be pleasantly surprised at the value for money!!

Hi Ann.You are right there people will be really surprised with the facilities at the Zeynep. There is room service, fridges are filled daily with soft drinks. If you are a returning guest you will get robes and slippers and fruit in your room .The room safety deposit boxes are free while most of the other ones charge a small fortune for them .As i said before i really like it and will continue to return there ,even though i have a wee change now and again .The staff at the Zeynep are brilliant ,one in particular is the bell captain ,guy called Bil Al ,nothing is to much trouble to him and he is the guy to ask for any information about the hotel and area. A couple from Edinburgh contacted me on another site last year who were thinking of going there for six weeks through november into December .I told them to speak to Bil Al ,when they came back they contacted me straight away to tell me they had a brilliant holiday and Bil Al and all the staff made them feel like they were in their home .

Hi Bluepetermo
When we stayed there the staff were all very good all except one of the reception staff who blatantly ignored the british! Our son snapped his wrist band by accident and he was nasty to him but yet another man was so nice to him!
When we went we got super lucky with the room, you could have had a football match in it!! It was on a corner and so nice! It was quiet to because some rooms are noisy I would think with the open Atrium. We only got drinks in fridge once a week and the bar closed at midnight. Only thing stops me going back is that it is only local drinks and I prefer the international drinks! We got an absolute bargin and our son had a free child place! he was adamant he would not go to the kids club because he was just 11 but went "just to make friends " and was there every session! They were brilliant with them! He went horse riding (for a small fee) and loved it and was in the kids show which he loved doing! The animators were really nice and made everyone feel welcome and they did one of the funniest Dallas sketches we ever saw !! There is a nice nature trail quite near the hotel and we walked it a couple of times looking out for all the tortoises! Yes we have some very happy memories of the Zeynep!
