A big thanks to all those who helped/advised me on this forum in the last few weeks.
We managed to get out there and in the end managed to get a great deal with a DIY package a good £100 per couple cheaper than any last minute deal I could find.
Anyway onto the hol,
We stayed in Ayia Napa at the Senator apartment, we took a chance on it being quieter now that the students etc were back at Uni.
Whilst still being busy with groups of singles, there were lots of couples and families also and I thought the restraunts, beaches and nightlife catered for everyones needs superbly.
Here are some of our favourites
RESTRAUNTS
We ate 3 times at los Bandidos, (Also called Viva Mexico about the doors)
We also ate out at la palazza twice and sticky fingers, and enjoyed all our food in there. For breakfast/brunch we would normally call in to Gary's bar'n'grill which is very popular and busy.
BARS
The cheapest pint I had was KEO at 90c in the Sea Cavern, (Where we would often stop on the way back to the apartment), others we frequented more often than not were Senior Frogs, Sky Bar and the Bell Inn.
BEACHES.
Our favourite was Nissi Bay which is beautiful, we also liked the main beach at Ayia Napa and also took a taxi to see the beaches at Protaras, Fig Tree bay is nice but in our opinion Nissi was better. The main beach at Protaras was also nice.
WATERWORLD
Waterpark is a definate, only things that dissapointed us were, Drop to Atlantis is 3 person, and you cannot ride with just 2, so couples beware. and teh Fall of Icarus was closed due to the wind. We thoroughly enjoyed our day there and paid £16pp which also included a taxi there.
HOTEL
The Senator was in a great location and the apartment we had was great, recently refurbished and overlooking one of teh main pools. teh staff were all friendly and polite and I would recommend the hotel to anyboday at this time of year, although I belive in Jul/Aug it gets very very busy with singles
Overall, We loved our holiday, ate out and drank every night and spent just under £600 (UK) in a week, (however this included, return taxis to the airport, return taxis to Protaras and a day at the Waterpark, in total £130 UK.
***There were plenty of cheaper places to eat than the places we chose ***
Thanks
Danny
