Mark ... it's outside the Town Hall in Parque De L'Aiguera, which is just on the edge of the Old Town. That's quite a trek from the Flamingo Oasis. You could either taxi, or take a bus from outside the hotel to the terminus on Calle Esperanto. It's just a couple of minutes walk from there. The ice rink is open until Sunday 7 January, from 10am to 2pm and from 5pm to 8pm.

It's 5 Euros for an hour.....
I went on it this morning and thought I was a smart @ss

I was told NOT to go on it, I was asked not to go on it, but, I still went on it and although it is over 40 odds years since I went skating, I thought I was doing OK until I went flat on my back.
No problem landing on ice, but it whipped my neck back and I cracked the back of my head on the ice.

I saw stars for a moment and now have a lump as big as an egg on the back of my head.....ended up going to the farmacia for some ointment to take the swelling down...and I've had an headache since.
For once, I cannot type what David called me.....and he won't let me forget this in a hurry.
It's a very fast rink, be careful

On a serious note in reference to the Ice Rink.....if you do fall and suffer a serious injury.....are you covered by your Holiday Insurance

Just a thought.

Depends on your particular holiday cover.
I would imagine it is classed as sports activities ...so it is best check your policy.

I passed him the camcorder, and all he had to do was point and press a red button to start and stop.
When I went down all we have is the pavement, sky and a very loud voice telling me to get the off that ice NOW!...not, how are you dear? have you hurt yourself dear?....but we do have me clinging for dear life on the side of the rink.
Seriously, we have been up there today and had a walk right through the park and back to the hotel Dalmatas.

The ice rink looks like it has been a great success, where can you be ice skating one minute and the next walking in lovely sunshine by the side of the sea.? but, as I said previously, it is a fast rink...it is not very big and by being popular the ice is being polished constantly and therefore running fast....there were a lot of people of all ages hitting the deck today.

I feel my age today...just a pity I didn't act it yesterday, but I was warned not to even think about going on it again.....looks like the master has finally spoken
The bump on the back of the head is slowly going down.

The "egg" has now gone down, but my head is still sore to touch and I've had slight "whiplash" symptoms on certain movements of the neck....only twinges though today.

I haven't been on the ice yet, its my Son's 11th Birthday today and I tried to convince him to give it a go, but he wanted to go bowling instead!!
So have just come back from there, I nearly slipped in there, so have no chance on ice.
