hi super gran !!!
we went to the palm gardens this year in late june .
it is well located for the bars and restaraunts just a couple of minutes walk.
brand new this year with uptodate fittings and decor.
quite location .
we have booked again for 26th june next year so we will be there when you are for a few days .
if you look on the first choice web site bookings there are some pictures on there , but as briar says there are now some reports on HT .
YOU WILL LOVE IT

Hi Jacko, did you have to pay for your air conditioning when you were there? We are going in August, any ideas if it's free then?

the a/c was £25 per week and the safe was £20 for the 2 weeks £70 straight off when you land.
the a/c was in the bedroom only but was very good with it been new.
there was only the 2 of us in june/july this year ,dont know how it would be in the lounge area. but i am sure you will enjoy the location.
have a good christmas and new year , then countdown can start.

Hi All
Booked into the Palm gardens from 19th June for 2 weeks. I know that some members have stayed here in the past and I would value their advise on room selection i.e. is there any particular rooms to avoid and likewise which have the best view of the pool etc. Also do any members have any photos of the apartments they can share with me?
Many thanks
Lewis

Hi Lewis, there are some photos on the site, I think they are in the holiday photo's section. If you scroll through the previous posts on this topic you might see a link to them. I think it's about 4 pics. First Choice also have pictures on theis website.

we stayed at the palm gardens last june/july and have rebooked for the 26th june this year.nice apartments and i have made a couple of previous posts about them
all the rooms face the pool and the landings run at the back of the building and look onto the the bottom of the mountain.
there was only two floors because the council would not let him put the planned 3rd floor , dont know if that might of changed.
i would say that all the rooms are pretty much the same with regards to views of the pool or the mountains opposite.
because it has private propertys opposite and close by it is a nice quite location , but so handy for the town ,just a minute to the main streets and a slow ten minutes to the beach or 10 minutes up to the old town ideal location. i am sure you will enjoy it.
not long now got to pay the bill this week..... thats the sign its getting close

Hi Jacko, do you know if they do breakfast there? If so was it worth the upgrade to B&B?
Cheers Laurence

we did have breakfast there one morning , but i did not know you could upgrade to b & b as it is a self catering apartments.

my opinion on that is there is plenty of choice near by and you might fancy a walk out or early to the beach etc and you just stop where it takes your fancy .
the meals we did have at the bar were good but mainly at lunch time

dont forget air con was £25 per week and safe was £20 so thats £70 when you arrive and toilet rolls are not supplied after the first .
the complex owners are very possesive of there clients and want you to have as many meals at there bar just like in the town , although they did not push it , except the bbq night which we did not stop for
you are so close to strolling out for a kebab at lunch or a chang of sceen
that you dont need to stay in BUT some people do and like the freindly staff etc

i have just been on first choice site for the palm gardens and it now shows it as having 4 floors and 44 rooms , last year there was only 3 floors and 30 + rooms due to building control
etc.
DOES any body out there know if captain ali has built the missing floor during the winter .
SO LOCAL KNOWLEDE required ?????

SARAH at the tokmak may have an ides although it will not be long to the first visitors

Is that right, they don't supply toilet rolls? :yikes

well the count down must begin sometime, actually it started about 5 weeks ago , but 5 weeks to go , Icmeler the best holiday resort we have found and a very good location at the P lam gardens ,
26th june we will be there so i hope everthing lives up to what we are expecting.
We went to this complex last year so we know what to expect ideal location , so much so that the owners must get a bit let down when we all walk out at night and come back for a night cap about 12.30 am when the music has gone down elsewhere.
BUT the complex was spot on last year , so lets hope it is the same again , i have spoken to Captain Ali a few weeks ago and it will be a new TEAM running the complx , which i suppose happens a lot.
so for now 35 more sleeps and we will be on the big bird in the sky for 2weeks of doing what you dont do at home .
AND AT THE MOMENT THAT IS SEEING THE SUN ,ALTHOUGH WE ARE GETTING WET , WHICH IS SIMMILAR TO GOING IN THE POOL !!!!!!!
