Oh and another thing while I think about it.Does anyone else get really wound up with people walking into bars and restaurants without shirts on.I mean come on,on the beach fine but walking into a bar or restaurant without a shirt on is just plain bad manners.

We were in after seven last year when a couple(him very large)walked in.He had his shirt completely open showing off his extremely large torso to other diners expecting a fine dining experience.

To make it even worse he proceeded to light up a cigar and breathe it all over us while we were eating our meal.

I am usually a reasonably passive person but I nearly got off my chair and rammed the cigar down his face.

So what winds you up?

Or wandering up Calangute High Street, him in swimming trunks, her in bikini?

Shopping in Mapusa, He has now progressed to shorts, Her a lunghi over bikini bottoms?

Sitting outside Bonnies/Maples, 9pm, came straight from beach in beach-wear, mosquitos everywhere?

Hanging around outside Gulf Supermarket, Panjim, dressed for the beach, surrounded by touts, and wondering why?

Being invited to a Goan family-do, feeling honoured and turning up..........dressed like a beach-bum?

Personally, i no longer feel comfortable going to Mapusa/Panjim shopping, wearing shorts. Thin cotton trousers are just as cool and you feel more like you belong and have made the effort to show the Goans that we do not all dress inappropriately.
