Hi Denty,
Not stayed in Pedras but as a regular visitor to Cabanas for the last 8 years I can say it hasn't changed since then. You will find more changes in the village though as is with everywhere else, they are building lots of apartments which tend to be at the back rather than on the front although there have been a few changes there too.
It still remains quiet and laid back and friendly, so hopefully you will enjoy your trip.
