i think if you don't accept it fc will just hang it out until you either take it legal or give up bothering, we have not had an increase in our compo but i think we would accept 20%,but fc will have lost a family who used them at least once a year, unfortunatly i have already paid to go to sharm el sheik next year,but that will be there lot from us and anyone else involved with our family.

Hi sTevebags, I have sent them an e-mail telling them what I think I should reveive, havent sent any cheques back, keeping them, just uncase. Will wait and see what they say. They can only say no.

Hi steviebags, sorry to hear that you have not had your compo reviewed. Why wont they give you 20% when they gave us that amount. They prob think im a cheeky so and so for asking for more

Hi, I went 27th june, paid for select room which included express service, bathrobes and slippers, and porterage to and from the room, this cost £224.00. I never received any of this. F/C have offered me 10% which is £226.00, I returned the cheque asking them to consider the steel in my daughters food, the holiday overall etc as that comp only covered the select services i didnt receive, and not the disasterous holiday. They have told me thats my lot (on the 19th september) but now they wont return the cheque, so at the moment I have got nothing.
Hi Sweety, dont know why they never gave you any more compo? You should have kept the cheque as they prob forgot to send it back to you.
Ask them for your refund for the select services that you payed for as well as the compo and see what they say.

The cheque came saturday with a letter telling me they were pleased I had accepted there offer, all I said was that I had posted the cheque back!!
I have had more holiday advertisements from them for 2006 then from anyone else, do they really think that they can rob us and then we'll give them MORE money??

Tell them you have not accepted their offer, you have not cashed the cheque yet so you can do this. I would send them another letter and ask them why they think you have accepted their offer when in actual fact you are disputing their offer.

Hello Everyone, Just received and E-mail from FC with regards to my compo claim. They are not budging from the 20% they have given me, so I will just bow out gracefully knowing that I tried.
I am now going to cash the cheques and give them to Thomas Cook for next years holiday.

just received a reply from fc, concerning my email enquiring why we had not been offered 20% compo like other families,in there earlier letters they had flatly refused to up our compo. but in this letter they have enclosed another cheque to add to our other one which now brings us up to 20%,i think unless i go legal that is about all we are going to get.so we are considering accepting it and putting it towards next years hols,what do you think

Stevie, I would just accept as I have done, I cant be bothered with them and the long time it will take to take them to small claims etc. HAve put the money towards next years hol.

Hi just to let you know that we were offered 20% by first choice too! We didn't think this was enough so we put it in to the hands of Ros and this week we were offered just over a £1000! What a differance?
Of course we accepted the higher amount so if I was you I would get legal advice and of course never use first choice again.

Hi Central16, Im glad to see you have had around 75% compo from FC, lets hope it teaching them a lesson, because their are now alot of people getting worried about the new HV in Greece, lts hope they dont fob them of like them fobed us off with their lies, telling anyone who phoned and asked if their was building work going on that everything was ok.Well done and good luck with you next holiday.
