Ooooo what's the secret Phil ????
I think this is the Penisular Beach Resort on Holiday Street Calangute same street as Goan Heritage and Maggies. It was only built 2 years ago we have been in a few times to look at rooms, prices etc just nosing really.always on the lookout for somewhere new to stay, some of the rooms are quite nice but some are dingy with no balcony, the pool and gardens are well kept, but what struck us as being strange was there was never anyone at the pool or on the sunbeds or in reception a bit like a ghost town with the most obnoxious security guard on the front gate, sort of got the impression they didnt want anyone staying their a bit wierd really, it was about £22 per night per room the wife was not impressed at all she thought it was a little bit strange.
can anyone tell me where this hotel is please. its in calangute but dont know where
I have looked at several maps and can not see it- sorry! Hopefully someone can locate it for you.
its in holiday street,so its in a good location but thats as good as it gets im afraid. Are you staying there,if so refer to an article in the forum from last year .Good luck !

Thats not the one Fiona but Philfel was the chap who wrote about the place, sorry it was january this year not last.Im suprised the place is being refurbished as its not very old.
Thats it .Im a bit of a ludite when it comes to computers.cant do those link thingys.
adie, did you go to that hotel then? and is it the one near maggies?
Just got back a week ago, We had breakfast in Emmas Kitchen a restaurant next door to and overlooking the Peninsula Resort. It looks lovely and clean but empty I asked the waiter about the hotel and made a comment about it looking empty he just said "there are Russians staying their"
No we never stayed, phil sent us a PM as he went and had a nose,he said it was grim to put it mildly.Maybe things have changed in the last eleven months though ? Another point seeing as they have been mentioned the Russians are going to ruin goa.Not PC but true
Passed it several time daily when I was there last month, it was at that time full of Russians so it must be being used by one of their tour groups and will continue to be for the rest of the season. There was also a lot of Indian tourists from other states staying there as you could tell by all the out of state number plates parked outside I was'nt aware it was being used by any U.K. tour companies The actual Hotel is less than five years old as I watched it shoot up so it should be fine but I dont know what the guests would be like, as you read and hear a lot of adverse reports about Russian toutists Hope this helps Alan
oops forgot, yes it is near maggies and the Kerkar (spelling ?) art gallery/hotel
thanks everyone, will just have to wait and see fingers crossed
I notice someone has asked this question before but noone really knew about the hotel at the time.
I am booked up to stay in the Peninsula Beach Resort in Calangute and I can find no details on it anywhere online, which I find quite worrying. Can anyone help????
Thank you.
Well I cant find it either Kirsty! Who did you book it through?
