hi.. there are car hire places in Pernera, if you look at the first thread on the cyprus index page it has recomended resteraunts have a brows through

last time i was in that area i went to a taverna in Paralimni we were the only english there, no other nationalities on holiday just locals food was great.. only trouble is i cant remember the name

Can't help with the car hire question but there are many excellent tavernas in Pernera that do meze.

I'd recommend Kartanas - run by a guy called Andreas - very good food and no problem asking for a doggie bag (thetre's a hell of a lot of food).

Pernera is a small place so you won't have any problems finding it

just remembered.. one care hire place is above the windmill hotel/restaurant and another across the road, and there are more but i can't remember the locations

In Pernera The Polyxenia Isaak right down on the beach does a great meze which even had traditional liver last time we went !

Another place in Pernera for more well cooked traditional food was the Opomero ? on the top road that goes between the Elamaris and the Waterpark at the other end.
