I have read on another site today that they now have a new manager for the entertainment so maybe they are trying to improve it

Hi all - have just returned from the petra Mare Hotel this morning at 7.00am. - what a wonderful week my husband and i have had - the hotel is large - clean - full of glass, wooden chandeliers - waterfalls - a beautiful location on the sea front - the water was cold as it is only May but theweather was HOT the entertainment by the First Choice reps was very good - everyone was friendly - the shopkeepers in the little town are really friendly - the choice of food as this is all inclusive was phenomenal - the beach is a little odd as the sand or shingle is greyish black - the hotel boasts a childrens water park as well - my husband and i are in our 60s - we loved it - parents and children will love it - teenagers would love the hotel and pool but not too sure what the town nightlife is like - all in all a wonderful week's holiday - it took us 2 hours to and from the airport but this didn't bother us

Shell - the reps will organise something i'm sure - they do like to know when it is someone's birthday - enjoy your hol - i.m suffering from withdrawal symtoms already - i loved that Hotel

while looking for more info on the hotel i came across this site and must say its been great to see things at the hotel seem to be getting better and better. a big thank you to the people who have taken the time to post the feedback about their holiday. I will do the same when i return.

How's your holiday going? What's the weather like? We've booked to go to Petra Mare on 23rd August ( 2 adults, 3 children), never been to Crete before, so hoping you will give us a good feed back. Hope it lives up to our expectation after going to the Caribbean last year.

We've booked to go in August again this year after really enjoying it last summer. Can anyone tell me if there is still a German contingent at the hotel or is it all first choice? It's not a big deal, we just found their kid's club entertainment round the lazy river a laugh.

the reps are called ......naisy,john,chrissie,jenny,sarah...all the reps really are nice and make a effort..
the germans are still here but not in much force it seems as if first choice have a large percentage of the hotel they even have took over what was the german creche from last year

i have read some interesting reviews on this site regarding this hotel, i'm glad to hear some good reviews, a friend of mine told me it was rather quiet,but by the sounds of it seems alot to do. myself my partner and my 2 daughters fly out on 19th july cant wait now after reading these reviews.

shazzie t-How long are you staying for we arrive on the 9th august so if you are staying more than a week we might see you there,we have 2 boys one 15 and one 9 who love making friends on holiday and who nearly always keep in touch with there friends long after the holiday has finished.We are also really pleased with the reviews coming in at the moment.Not long to go now

we are there for 2 weeks we come home on 02/08 so we will have come home before you go i will post a review for you when i get back though
