We've been to Zante twice which we really love as did my 13 year old son. Next week we are off to Kephalonia. Water parks aren't paticulary good on either of these islands. Crete has a good waterpark and is a fairly busy island.
Cyprus is also fab and they have a terrific waterpark there.
If you want lots of facilities and large waterparks I would choose the Crete, Corfu etc steer clear of the smaller islands.
Browse through the forums on holiday truths and check out hotel reviews before you book.

Hi BBB, when are you wanting to go? We have just booked for 2006, 4* AI, one bed apartment, on the beach, with its own waterpark. In Kos! karen

So sorry for repeating myself erm 5 times!! Don't know what happened, but when I tryed to submit reply, it kept coming up "Error, please reload, so I kept pressing reload, and I have managed to repeat myself 5 times, have asked moderator to remove four of my replies if this is possible, as I don't want other ht members to think I'm that desperate for ht points!!!BBB.
Its costing us £2500 thats one free child, and as my eldest will be 13 then he counts as an adult, so not a bad price for the 4 of us. It sounds like you have quite a good deal yourself. Our price is for the school hols in july with good day flights. karen
haha your multiple posts made me laugh :-)

Its in the firstchoice brochure, Eclipse do it aswell. It does'nt open until May 2006 but looks fab. In Kos between Kos town and Tingaki, if you go on firstchoice web site and put in code 4990 it should give you the details. karen

We loved Tenerife but found it expensive as the prices went up when the kids were off school. I got our holiday much cheaper than the brochure price stated so only use that as a rough guide. Let us know what you decide please. When are you wanting to go?? karen
Hi Karen, we are wanting to go first 2 wks in August, (before 16th aug, as this is when one of the lads turn 13), so this way he will still get free childs place. I am really happy with price of holiday to tenerife, as I mentioned before, it's not a bad price for 6 wks hol, just that other half wanted a change, and said he'd always fancied greece, but I'm sure if I said to him "Oh, lets just stick to tenerife", he would as he's pretty easy going, but I'm still looking through brochure, and looking accomodation up on holidaysuncovered, I'm going to take a look on first choice web-site now. Will keep you posted!!! BBB.

Karen, been on first choice web site, even though its an artists impression, it looks really nice. Priced the two weeks up we wanted to go; £2,028, so quite a bit over our budget, (I should't have been too greedy and booked 2 hols for this year!!!) BBB.
Have you tried the Eclipse web site, plus its AI so you dont need much spends. When we went to Tenerife we spent £1500 and we were half board. We go on the 19 july- wed, kids dont finish till the fri but i will make some excuse up as it was £600 cheaper than going on the Friday. karen x
Definately worth the £600 saving. The kids are usually winding down, last few days before main summer hols anyway, and the last day is usually a fun day/sports day anyway. Will look at eclipse now.BBB
You'll absolutely love Greece. Argassi in Zante, may be an option for you. Plenty of shops bars restaurants etc but not as chaotic as Laganas. There is also a waterpark not far away, although we didn't go there. There is also a beach in the resort though, it must be said there are better ones you could travel to. You don't say what board basis you are looking at. Personally, I wouldn't recommend AI in Greece because you'd miss out on the fun of sampling the food in typically Greek tavernas. Each time we've gone to Greece (4 times), we've gone self catering, because part of our enjoyment is trying different restaurants every evening. If you fancy self catering in Zante, have a look at The Admiral appartments in Argassi. It's 4 years since we were there but it was in a great spot and has a lovely decent size pool. It also has a bar and snack bar and occasional evening entertainment.
We can also highly recommend Kos. Tingaki was quiet but still had quite a few eateries and bars (all along the main street) and a really long beach. Kardamena was also great, much bigger than Tingaki and slightly more commercialised with your Mcdonalds on the beach.
As you can see I'm a Greece fanatic. Holidayed in Dom Rep last year just for a change and trying Bulgaria this year. But Look out next year hubby and I will be back in Greece celebrating our silver wedding.
£1791 All Inc, so you won't need a lot of beer tokens to take you over budget.
At that price you should be able to go out for the odd meal as well.
This is another plug for Hellenic Voyages. 01924 788700 or 0870 7524499.
I don't work for them, just use them.
