Hi all. I'm new to this board and am going to salou on June 7th. I was thinking of booking my port aventura tickets through barcelonapoint.com as you get 2 days for the price of one!
Has anyone used this website before because I was reading on there and the send you e-vouchers - bit worried about not receiving actual tickets. What do you think?
Also we're flying into Barcelona (got cheap ryanair tickets) and will need to hire a car, any advice? Thanks all x
We've bought e-tickets from PortAventura's own site and attractiontix.co.uk in the past and had no problems at all. You get an e-mail containing your voucher, and you exchange it for your tickets at the gate. It's worked very well for us. I would suggest you have a look at a couple of other sites as you can get 7 day tickets for the price of 3. These also include a discount for the water park. Your 2 day ticket will probably be for 2 consecutive days - if you get bad weather you could miss out, and you might not get the water park discount. We went to PortAventura 4 or 5 times each holiday so that we all went on everything, and saw the shows too. It's also worth going for an evening to see the fireworks at the end.
I can't offer advice about car hire, but if you're flying to Reus then it's only 20 minutes from Salou and there are plenty of taxis and busses. If you're flying to Girona, it's a good couple of hours and a car might be a better bet.

There's no discount for the water park on barcelonapoint.com but the difference between the 2 days and 7 day ticket is £28 (the 2 day being £30ish and the 7 day being £58ish).
We are flying into Barcelona so the two hour drive should be good . It's all an adventure
There's a fair amount for smaller children to go on, but it's all about height. The magic height limit for quite a few of the rides is 1.20m. When we went in 2006, our youngest (6) was about 1.15m but he still went on a lot. Last year, when he'd grown the extra 5 cms it was even better.
From what you say, I assume you're flying to Girona. Ryanair don't go to Barcelona itself, they use Girona to the north and Reus to the south. Reus is better for Salou - you can see PortAventura from the airport!
Have a great time.

Thankyou! Yes we're flying into girona. The flights were only £20 each for the three of us through the recent ryanair promo. My ex husband pais £60 2 days later when I'd decided that we'd attempt a family holiday . Can't wait! Couldn't stay off the dragon khan last time I went, guess that's a bonus to bringing ex hubby - he can have the kids whilst i act like one
I have not been on for a while but its nice to see its picked up alittle
Hi Emily we also go on the 7th June, we are staying at the calypso. How about you??
Kerrie
I can't wait!
I have been that excited since Jan when i booked I think i have excited myself out ( I am worse than the kids )
I booked the calypso in Jan and we got a really good deal too, it was 1,200 for 2A & 2CH and its HB.
Hope you have a great time

hi there can anyone help im off to salou and i was wandering how to go about buying my tickets for the theme park the cheapest way possible please thanks all
Try Attactiontix.com and use PV14D10
as above my friend if for 7 days pv7for3 worked for me 1 week to go
It's buy one day get the second free!
we both are tickets from attractiontix.com, used code got 10% off price, so for 7 day pass was £45.....alot cheaper then buying tickets there...youll love it there going back again with kids in oct....
Does anyone know how much it is to enter Port Aventura just for 1 or 2 days please?
I would say that it's worth looking around the web though. For example, you can get a 7 or 14 day pass from AttractionTix for £52 adult + £43 child. This should also get you a discount for the water park. You can see from alyharry's post that you can get a discount on these prices as well.

just got back from a week in cap salou had the 7/3 tickets we had a brilliant time we spent one whole day and twice we went to the park at 2.oclock in the afternoon which we thought was better less queuing not so many people, so my advise is if going for the whole day do the show,s in the morning ,then the rides leave the polynesian show til night time trust me food quiet pricey to so take your own just hide it in your bag
